Look, Ricochet is a specific performer with a specific set of skills.
Him getting in the ring with some half bumping, slowed down sloth like slightly out of his prime mat technician ain’t really about to put any luster back on him.
Ricochet ain’t exactly known for restholds, reversals, wrist locks and submissions.
He got popular off extravagant high octane matches
He just needs to be back in his element with opponents that can cook with him.
Im not trynna be “narrow minded” and I get that not all flippy matches are great. But we really gotta stop pretended that ALL technical, slow down mat wrestling with KICKS matches are top tier quality

It's like you've never seen a match were 1 wrestler does his best to keep the flippy guy on the ground so he can get sympathy AND get the crowd excited for every hope spot - because they know what's coming: fun flippy shyt -, so when the actual comeback happens the flippy guy looks like a million bucks pulling off his moves.
That shyt is as old as dirt and two guys that can easily pull it off are Ricochet and Bryan. He did it with Ali in multi man matches, he sure as hell can do it in singles matches. Hell, he even did it with a very limited dude (in the ring) like Kofi
