WWE apparently had plans for Aleister Black to make it through another RAW without getting pinned, but Vince re-wrote that match and Black took his first pinfall loss to AJ Styles, after defeating Karl Anderson by pinfall and Luke Gallows by DQ. Vince also re-wrote the reveal of Erick Rowan's tarantula in the backstage segment with No Way Jose, but there's no word yet on what was originally planned.
Regarding Ricochet vs. WWE 24/7 Champion Riddikk Moss, the original plan was for R-Truth to face Moss but Vince changed it to Ricochet, and called for the clean win by Moss.

Saxton never even made it to the main roster as a wrestler outside of when NXT was still the weird ass game show thing. He did commentary after that & then moved up doing commentary.
Rest of them dudes outside of Apollo & Cedric suck & their just like Ricochet in the charisma department without being a next level flippy shyt dude.

It is what it is, and the is is Vince. It's always Vince. All these guys get treated like and presented as stars in NXT and where they came from before that, the crowds react as such, then they get called up and Vince doesn't get it and gets tired of them after a month. It's likely only going to get worse until he retires or is forced out.
But really this has always been part of his personality even back to the 80s. Part of it is very much "I didn't make them" pettiness, but he's been doing this since the territory era. He'd sign top guys from areas and use them as mid carders or give them completely different gimmicks and strip them of everything that made them popular in the first place.
It's become worse of the years, especially post-Attitude Era when his idea of what his show and stars have to be has become very, very stringent and it doesn't matter if that means using talents in ways that plays to their weaknesses, and then he punishes them for it. It's likely to only get worse until he retires or is pushed out.
It's even worse because from time to time he'll make it a point to book a talent to their strengths and hide their weaknesses just to prove he still can get someone he wants over. so it's not like he's incapable of doing it himself or letting someone else do it, he just does this shyt on purpose.
