I don't buy it, Owens couldn't do it in ROH nor NXT, no way he would've pulled it off in WWE even with proper booking.
So whose up next as the face /flag-bearer for the company?

This is a tough question to answer, because they haven't built anyone up to be that.
Seth should be ready, DB should be ready. If AJ was even 5 years younger he would easily slide into the role. Hell, Dolph....but they never gave him that shot.
I expect them to use Drew Mac though. Vince loves that nikka.

If they're going to be booked to the frustration of fans and at the expense of others, I'd strongly caution against it.
That's a bad environment and only breeds contempt from your audience.
I still say you have to get the brand split right. Dean tossed the tag titles, they're not needed on RAW.
The Universal Title is vacant yet again. It isn't needed.
Let AJ bring the WWE title back to RAW. Let Shinsuke bring the US title back to RAW.
Consolidate your heavyweight mens talent on RAW. Continue AJ's reign and treat it with some respect.
Consolidate your tag teams on Smackdown. Consolidate your women on Smackdown.
Move the Cruiserweights up to Smackdown. They're very capable.

Is it because Brock Lesnar is wrestling for it? Is it because A MAN has the title?
Can the Usos not call themselves the best tag team in the World, because they aren't the Universal Champion?
Should Evolution be canceled because they don't have a 'World' title match?

A Championship that was first crowned after a tournament that ran 6 months, that featured 32 competitors from around the World can't be presented as a World Championship?

I think we agree here. A World Championship AND a Women's Championship. I don't see them being mutually exclusive.
