No...you're wrong. He basically 11-1, 10-2 Canelo...their will be no buzz for a rematch.
I had it 11-1 also:manny:

Canelo has fans though and please beleive his fans will want to see him redeem hiself if he destroys a couple of champions they can spin it like he learned from his mistakes and such......

SN: Watching the fight yesterday once again it was evident Floyd took his foot off the gas by choice, contrary to him saying Canelo hurt his elbow when he fouled him. I've noticed Floyd stopping short of ko'ing Golden Boy fighters and not ruin them, to not ruin their future or ensure a future rematch if it makes sense money wise. Mayweather has took his foot off the gas vs ODH, and JMM and my belief was solidified when he buzzed the shyt out of Cotto, then backed off like 10 seconds smiling I seen young Floyd and I seen how he used to finish his opponents when hurt.......................................

I would post the article but its too long and nikkas dont read, but according to Shaefer here are his options for his next fight, and future bouts

Next match

1. Amir Khan
2. Danny Garcia

Future possibilities

1.Canelo rematch- Too much money not to revisit, with the 2.2 million ppv buys(early number may rise)
2.Cotto rematch- who gave Mayweather one of his toughest bought's and is another PPV stud
3.Ortiz rematch- the story line is too juicy for it to not be revisited

He also floated Broner's name as a maybe down the line, but was skeptical, and floated Pacquaio name if Manny leaves GB because arum refuses to co promote and GB nor Floyd would allow Arum to control a Mayweather Pacquaio event like they allowed him to control Pacquaio vs Mosley and JMM then return the favor by locking them out and shytting on GB................

1. I could see Amir Khan if he looks good in a win over Alexander.

2. I think Danny is the easiest sell...they can just re-use the same marketing from this Canelo fight with the "young lion coming up against the wily veteran/somebody's 0 must go" promos.

3. There was nothing in that Canelo fight that makes a rematch with him look appealing. The only way Mayweather/Canelo 2 is even feasible is if it is Floyd's last fight on his Showtime contract and in the ensuing years Canelo becomes dominate at whatever weight he ends up fighting at.

4. If Cotto looks exceptional against Rodriguez next month then Golden Boy can promote the rematch as Cotto being the last person to actually be competitive against Floyd and Oscar can continue peddling that bullshyt about how he has the formula to beat Floyd and he is giving it to Cotto this time. Don't see any different result but at least it would be profitable.

5. Ortiz/Mayweather 2 would be potentially a decent moneymaker just based off the dodgy way the fight ended and the perception a lot of people have that Ortiz was doing well up to the point where he lost his cool. Of course Ortiz would have to have a tune-up fight and look spectacular in winning which is not a guarantee for the mercurial fighter.

So I still stand by my assessment that the best fight of what is actually possible is Danny Garcia.

Garcia or Khan it doesnt matter which one happens at first, I really dont want to see Garcia take a L just yet......

Floyd desperately needs someone who could help sell a PPV and shyt talk to Floyd so he could go into full heel mode, imagine the Floyd Canelo numbers if he could talk English, and get into a trash talking match with Floyd

The shyt talking between the Mayweather Camp and Angel Garcia is one of the main reasons I would want Garcia/Mayweather to happen.
And as much as I like Danny don't want to see him take that L, the window on opportunities to fight Floyd is closing since I don't see him fighting past his 50th bout. So its about a 3 year span (if he continues to do 2 fights a year) before I see Floyd hanging the gloves up.

that could be it or he's jsut cautious when he has rounds in the bank not to get caught with a lucky punch and lose it all.

CAnelo had fans...he was young undefeated and thought he would be the one to put the beats on Mayweather...the blowout of the fight I think may hurt any chance for a rematch. IF it was closer than I could see one but damn 10-1...no one wants to see them fight again.

Usually once when you hit 50 fights, you're at the tail end of your career (doesn't apply for every fighter, but it does for most in this current day and age).

Floyd isn't the type to keep fighting even once he's past his prime. And he's already said he's done for good once he finishes all his Showtime fights, which means he wont even make it to his 50th fight

Floyd vs. Pac would make more money that any other fight, regardless of Pac losses and Pac is more of a threat to Floyd than Garcia or anyone else in that division.
Answer these 3 questions you or @patscorpio

Is Manny Mexican, and do poor Philippians buy PPV's?

How many PPV's is Manny selling these days since he been hiding his numbers for years?

And how much has his stock fallen after losing what should be 3 straight fights?

Canelo was young undefeated and had the masses behind him his fans and Floyd haters alike, aside from @Black_Jesus and a couple of other idiots nobody even care about Manny anymore. You truly believe a fighter coming off 3 losses would garner that much hype and buzz. Not to mention people dont even want to buy Floyd vs WW they want to see Floyd actually take a L, Floyd would have a field day fighting a small fighter

Manny needs to avenge his losses badly, at least one of them if he want a Mayweather match

Floyd knows he has another lucrative fight, he ain't running out of opponents
We disagree there they had to manufacture one in Canelo when the truth is he hasnt even put in the work of someone like Ortiz
