I mean all female comic characters are basically drawn that way more or less...but i don't recall nobody ever lusting after Ms Marvel like that for her movie counterpart having to be drop dead gorgeous. Scarlett Witch been drawn the same way and the Olsen girl is just aight, but nobody going in on her like they do this girl

theres also the contrast of how shes been drawn lately to be more shapeless to counter how bombastic her previous iterations were

The live movie character rarely aligns bodywise with the comic version:

Tomb Raider - Ang Jolie's body not even close to the curves Lara Croft had
Wonder Woman - Gal, while cute had barely any booty and small breasts

Now the directors could have cast any of the IG women parading around online in their cosplay outfits who look identical to the character, however, can they act and are they known?
