or benoits first match in WWE after being wcw champ
and tazz' first match after bringing the ecw title to smackdown

and triple H went over both of them making the WWE look superior to both companies on their last legs :pachaha:

actually he kind of put benoit over that night the crowd was fully behind him

they have rikishi vs. val venis in the cage yet at that same ppv the rock faced benoit that was a classic rock match too, when he reverse powerbombed him on the ropes

i think they should have kept in y2j vs. hhh the last man standing match instead

Disc 2 and Disc 3 are better than the actual doc. If you don't watch the segments/matches you're missing out.

Didn't have to watch it because I lived it.:ehh:

I was there EVERY Monday Night & Thursday Night.:manny:

All B.S. aside, it just looks like another DVD/Blu-Ray Release from Vince to make Money off of something of Greatness from the Past as usual. I'm sure that this is nothing less than Greatness but I don't think I need to watch it.:yeshrug:

Saw it

:ld: they could have gone a little bit more in-depth. At least on the level of "The true story of Wrestlemania".

A review of the DVD:

CANOE -- SLAM! Sports - Wrestling - Reviews : Attitude Era DVD a fun puff piece

:russ: The best excerpt:

The film takes a very quick look at backlash against the new direction, but ultimately defends any offensive material in the name of progressive entertainment. This leads to one of the greatest spins you’ll ever hear from a wrestler, as Mark Henry looks back on his affair with a transvestite. He claims that people come up to him all the time and say how cool he was for being comfortable with homosexuality, and he realized he may have inspired somebody to be more comfortable about themselves. All of that from a skit where he vomits after finding out the woman he was with was a man, in what was hardly a testament to tolerance.

Shoulda been more coverage on Goldust. His edginess at the time practically brought in the attitude era.

I finished watching it and no matter how many people want to deny it. This shyt today DOES NOT or will ever measure up to that era. Everything from the funny segments, the build up of feuds, the characters, the crazy shyt and creative freedom that wrestlers had were what made the era impeccible.

The Crowd energy of that time was INCREDIBLE. This is one of the main reasons why that era was so magical. Every event felt like you're witnessing either a War zone or feel like a Rock and Roll show(Just like ECW). I was watching the 4 corners match and the pop Austin got was insane. Look at how wack Crowds today are. Especially from the Hell In the Cell PPV:smh:

I will say this.. The Ring work and actual wrestling were horrendous throughout 1999. You had Big Show and Bossman actually main eventing PPVs and Vince/Triple H main eventing Armageddon LOL.

Aside from the main events or even the co main event but once they signed Benoit, The Dudleyz, Taz, Guerrero, Saturn, Malenko, Jericho, within a 6 month span. It was truly a wrap from the competition.
