you're talking about Stephanie right? that was the same reaction I had. like damn, you were INVOLVED in some good story lines yet you can't come up with any or actually have any continuity in your writing

it would be fun to see something like that come back around someday... it probably will when the kids of the PG Era get older tho'- that's the way WWE'll be able to keep longtime fans.

Sidenote: Chyna is REALLY on the outs with WWE. There's an outside and inside cover, and damn near EVERYBODY from that era is pictured except for her. MIDEON is on this shyt and she ain't... TONY GAREA is on this shyt and she ain't I damn near expected to see Benoit on it and no Chyna... wow.

yea, ive been saying for the longest that the wwe has the master plan. gear their product towards kids, the grow the product with them. by the time theyre teens, theyre going to up the content to keep them watching. the young kids are gonna watch regardless, especially if they see their big brothers into it.

and thats smart because truth be told, most of the attitude era was wack juice. i only watched it because it became jerry springer-ish and i was a horny/dirty @$$ young bul. that and they had the nation of domination. if it wasnt for those 2 things, it wouldve stayed as a distant 3rd place behind wcw & ecw on my tube.

Wrestling lost it's popularity because it didn't progress from that era. It went soft and got PG without thrilling storytelling to make that work like it did in the 80s. Those guys are idiots talking about not letting their kids watch it....they're kids watch and do MUCH, MUCH worse without them knowing about it. It's the old goofy "violent video games made them shoot at school" mindset. Silly.

i'll take the wwe from '01-06 over '98-99 anyday.

and i remember when people didnt even count '00-01 as the attitude era. so if you dont count that, then '97 was the only good year from this era.

no. im talking real-time my dude. i dont even remember a mention of the word "attitude" on wwe tv during that time. thats one of the reasons why.

also, '00-01 was like a completely different promotion from '98-99. maybe because of the fact that kurt angle and all those wcw & ecw guys came over. before that, it was just a poor product dependent on shock tv.

There was great stories during the Attitude Era...the rivalry for the IC title between Rock and Cripple H and Ken Shamrock. Foley's slow face turn after getting his ass whooped too many times....the hilarious Bossman/Big Show funeral scene...Jericho's intro....Rock as the Corporate Champ...Austin with the odds against him....Rock turning face as a tribute to his greatness....Cripple H crying every week the summer of 99..Chyna going Corporate after Cripple screamed I Quit to the Rock again....it was a nonstop party. The Odditites fukkING SUCKED and D Lo took a dive after the Droz stuff but it was all connected. Even Jeff Jarrett was given something to do.

im not talking about the invasion angle. im talking about when benoit, guererro, saturn, malenko, jericho, etc and ecw guys like tazz & the dudleyz were all jumping ship and kurt angle debuted.

yes, the booking was good in '98-'99 but the wrestling was piss-poor and most of the pay-per views were complete jokes. if i wanted to just watch a soap opera, i wouldve just tuned to "all my children".
