So where does the Republican party go from here?

Will they finally stop living in the past and start adapting to modern times and beliefs? If so, who's going to lead them in that direction?

It seems like they're firmly entrenched with their views and it's going to take a LONG time for them to change direction.

They need to realize that they can't be the party of the rich. The income/wealth gap between the rich and poor is IMMORAL. Im not asking for socialism (), but there has to be enough money so that the rich can still be incredibly affluent and lavish, while the rest of us still live comfortably.

Bring manufacturing back to America by cutting military spending and diverting those funds to higher education and technical training
Cut entitlement spending and enforce higher wages

They can come back but need to move to the center.. hard. Its just kind of difficult to pin down what problem they have because its so many influences from outside groups. So I'll just say their man this election should have been Jon Huntsman. If they had more dudes like him in there party, the political landscape would be better overall I feel. In addition to being pretty dam balance, at least this dude was giving the inclination that he would work with and comprise the other side in the preliminaries.

If Obama gets some significant immigration policies through, the Dems will lave Latinos sewn up for at least a generation. Romney blew the chance there, imo.
