technically the recession ended a while ago...what your experiencing is a stagnant recovery with phenemonel growth rates of 1.7% lol Its like if you used to make 800 a week lost your job for a month or two and started seeing your savings deplete say 100 a week and then now have a part time job making 300 a week

It'll never be like it was...those days are over

This is the new normal... I wouldn't expect unemployment to get under 8 til like 2020

Basically, because people are not getting all sorts of extra cash from credit cards and home equity/refinance any more.

This has been going on since 2007, I'm tired of this brehs, its depressing.

One day men will break into your home in balaclavas point a gun in your face, put a bag over your head and take you to a concentration camp.

the reality is that the recession is just a speculation bubble pop

the real economic trouble you're seeing is decades in the making and going to take a new economic stance to recover from

1 of 2 ways

it will end when population size decreases through natural attrition via lowered birth rates thus opening more jobs again via lower competition for jobs

or

technology will make it so that you dont need a job to have housing, electricity, transport, food etc

the first way is itself only a phase and gradually jobs will start to shed again via technology gradually eliminating all jobs.

the second way is permanent
