The legacy breakup fukked all 3 of their characters up. I don't understand why they didn't acknowledge Cody getting cheered by the crowd after Orton RKO Dusty at the end of Raw.

They teased like Cody was gonna go after him and when showing replays piped in Cena chants. :comeon:

Ted Jr had a similar deal and they pretty much never made anything of it. Then they had a blowoff certain jerker match at Mania which of course Orton made them look like bytches.

Hands down one of the most ridiculous things WWE's done.

The rest of this is spot on as well. And it's not like it was just one chance either. They had MULTIPLE chances to make Junior DiBiase into an over babyface and blew it.

STUPID.

When I guy's heart is set on playing heel that is where he should be at all times. It's been so long since Randy has went heel that a heel Orton vs Cena matchup or vs a face Punk seems fresh. I could see him getting back on track with a simple heel turn an eventual title run that culminates in a feud with Daniel Bryan for the title at Mania. Randy just seems more into when he is playing the bad guy.

don't know why ppl romanticize over "legacy" they were garbage. Some ppl aren't born leaders and orton is one of them.it looked silly seeing this dude that played a psycho heel (loner) cliquing up.Even the brass knew it which is why they reduced cody/teddy to nothing more than groupie like lackeys.Didn't work though cuz even with his wings clipped cody's charisma still came through. But again lame group that did nothing for either of the 3 so how their split could've fukked them up is :dwillhuh:

Now Punks's even taking time off and Randy still ain't doing shyt. Very odd for a guy to go from #2 in the company to pretty much irrelevance and stay there for so long. I really think WWE is hesitant to ever build Orton back up again because of his multiple wellness violations. They don't trust him. That or he just really pissed off someone high up the ladder.

Randy basically admits that he hasn't evolved :mjlol:

Randy Orton has never really reinvented himself in WWE

WWE did an interview with Randy Orton recently to look back on his 15 years with the company. It’s well worth your time, so go check it out, but maybe the best part is when they try to push that he’s reinvented himself multiple times over — as The Legend Killer or The Viper or The Apex Predator or what have you — and has he found that difficult.

His response nails it:

“Not really, because I've always been kind of the same guy. Whether I was The Legend Killer, The Viper, The Apex Predator, nothing's really changed. When I look at [Superstars] who've had 10 different personas … it's amazing to me. These guys are very talented that they're able to do that. Would I be able to do that? I don't know. Maybe, maybe not. But I think the fact that I've never really had to change is a testament to what my persona is on the show. Whether you're sick of it or love it, you know what you're gonna get with me.”

Randy Orton has always been Randy Orton, no matter what nickname is being used to reference him. That has its advantages and disadvantages, as he has no issue pointing out. Then again, don’t they say the best characters are those who are closest to the real person, just turned up a bit?

2009 Randy was GOAT.
2010 when he turned face(was it 2010) was when he lost some momentum. Then 2011 when he took out the new Nexus all by himself... Then in 2012.. Damn, what did he do in 2012?

And in 2013? Was that the year he won the WWE WHC or was that in 2014?

Holy shyt

Never been a fan of the racist scum but he was best when he was a viper terrorizing the mcmahons. Since he's been back from his long ass hiatus tho he's been good ole blandy again. They couldn't even write the infiltration story with the Wyatts right..

2013 was the Authority storyline with him and Bryan. They had Bryan beat him str8 up on tv over and over again. But had the sidekicks help him on ppv..lol.
