So what's the plan for Westbrook and OKC going forward?

All Oklahoma needs is one more piece.

1.Make Kanter the starting PF.He is a legit 18p/9r-20p/11r player if given the playing time

2.They need a SF,Carmelo would be perfect.Unfortunately okc does not have the pieces to make a trade without giving up Kanter or Oladipo

3.Westbrook needs to tone it down. There's no need for him to be averaging 24 shots per game.

4.What OKC should do is sign R.Gay on the cheap

G-Westbrook
G-Oladipo
C-Adams
F-Kanter
F-Gay

If former and defending champs Warriors and Cavs need help then Westbrook needs life support. He need the same shyt as the top 2 teams: elite 3pt shooting.

Seeing too many turnovers via drop off passes in the key...... in tons of traffic. Elite perimeter shooting will space the floor, etc.

If OKC can't attract knockdown shooters..... I'm not sure how they beat the top teams 4 of 7 times in the post season.

1. There is a reason why Kanter comes off tha bench. He is top 5 worst defensive bigs in tha NBA. He gets buckets but he gives em all up at tha other end....plus him and Adams clogs up tha lane tor OKC one offense.

2.Melo is not tha missing link. Not at his age...his days of being a difference maker are long gone
3.Agree with this
4. Achilles is one if tha hardest injuries to recover from and most ppl never fully do. Its almost two years and Wes Matthews is still pretty trash....plus Rudy is damn near 30 so itsnot like he a young guy who could bounce bac quicker

First they need to get a coach that will hold him accountable. He takes too many stupid outside shots and that needs to end.

Him driving and kicking it out is their game if they want to build around him. High percentage 3 point shooters will be ideal because they already have an elite talent with Westbrook and one of the best centers in the game with Adams.

Kanter needs to stop punching things, he is a key for them as well.

This league...especially when you have an elite driving player...requires you to have shooting. Between the new CBA and his "old school alpha" mentality, Russ is unlikely to leave. So just like the rest of the league their options are trades and the draft. They have a pretty good track record in that regard, aside from the Harden trade.

I mean I personally would still have Kanter come off the bench, but Isaiah Thomas is the worst player in the league defensively and he still starts and is killing, place Kanter next to Adams I think it'd work out fine.

easier to hide the defensive liabilities of a guard than it is a low post player.

Kanter often gets caught looking for an easy dunk.

It's going to be tough to find a contender who will want to build around Westbrook.

Do you want him as your #1 option, when he's shooting in the low 40s while turning the ball over a bunch and making awful decisions down the stretch and can't hit a game-winner to save his life?

Or do you want him as the #2 option when his low bball IQ and extreme confidence guarantees that he'll be taking shots from your #1 player?

He's a huge talent, but he's not efficient and doesn't play well with others. The two OKC teams he got far on were insane stacked, with Durant-Harden-Ibaka-Thabo on one and Durant-Ibaka-Adams-Kanter on the other. Not many teams are going to have an MVP and a bunch of talent around him AND enough trade value on top of that to get Westbrook, and will still actually want him.

I see almost anyone winning a ring before Westbrook does. Until his game drops to the point where he's a clear #2 and accepts it, he's not going to be title-winning material.
