So what was the hype with Gears Of War?

Gears of War 1 at the time had revolutionary graphics that far surpassed everything out at the moment I believe. It was breath of fresh air in the gaming world.
Gears 2 was trash imo. I hated the way they slowed the game down and it was boring and laggy as shyt online. Xbots hardly talk about this game when it's brought up in lieu that it will shatter their conceptions of their beloved Xbox live. Game had so much lag and online issues it was disgusting.
Gears 3 was much better and I enjoyed it. Sadly it stooped down the XBL activity list within months and hardly anyone plays it anymore. It's weird because I viewed it was one of the better titles Xbox has and it was ironic how it wasn't being played as much by the people talking it about to much. As a matter of fact it's at number 16 as of Jan 2013. People attribute it to other releases but I call it bullshyt because games that came out years ago is still in the top 10.

Gears 2 came out and One night I beat the horde mode with all coli nikkas, playing level 50 was the crunkist experience Ive had online to date. The server issues fukked this game up for the masses an by the time they fixed it, no one gave a shyt

gears 1 was dope, dope cover system, graphics were amazing at the time
