maybe Buckner wasn't a good teammate behind the scenes
No Armstead would have been good enough to get it done. But like I said before. I would have let Armstead and Kittle walk before I let Buckner go. Both stay hurt. People thought it was crazy at the time I said it. Fast forward to now, both of their contracts are too high for the production given. Those cats stay with the health issues.
Your fakkit ass will be dead and gone before Seattle ever is relevant again.
@Bryan Danielson He won't be in the threads 98% of the time going forward. Band wagon is broken down and irreparable.
I call bullshyt. Not having those two big contracts would have let us extend Warner as well. One thing about the Niners they do a great job of re-signing the players they want.
Kittle isn't worth it. He doesn't play enough. Plus TE isn't a crucial must have position to have as a star. Finding a solid run block TE isn't hard to find. He was are main target in the beginning because we had trash WRs.
Armstead is even worse with the injuries
A generational te or the guy we just replaced with someone betterTrue, but they should have signed him. If it meant that we wouldn't have Kittle, would you really be upset after seeing he is more injured than playing?
Maybe it’s me, but I don’t see Buck getting us any further than we already were and now we’ve replaced him. Kinlaw didn’t stop us from winning anything. Qb injuries did. Our defense didn’t miss a beatI think the main point is that the Niners bet on going cheaper with Armstead and hitting the draft pick to replace DeFo and lost that bet Kinlaw ended up being a bust and even though Armstead found his calling playing DT and is very good at it, he continues to have health issues more often than not.
So having lost that bet, it becomes clear we could've just given DeFo the contract he wanted. I don't buy for a second that it was an impossible task. We are seeing it right now in the wake of Bosa's extension (and really, any big time player a franchise wants to keep): you do the math and restructure every contract you can to make cap space. Once the deal is signed and you kept your star player, then you can restructure his contract too, even a year after he signed.

Kittle had 11 fukking TD last season with the injuries. Deebo had 2. In fact, he’s never had more than 6.I call bullshyt. Not having those two big contracts would have let us extend Warner as well. One thing about the Niners they do a great job of re-signing the players they want.

@feelosofer
That's fair, and a very different discussion from the contract one. If y'all werent willing to pay him because he wouldn't have made a difference I can understand that. I disagree, but I understand it.
