it was a freak accident, it was playaction and the eagles didnt fall for it.
It was a freak accident in the sense of ending up with a huge injury for Brock. But we can't act like there weren't multiple times per game were a pass rusher would go full steam ahead to hit our QB because of poor blocking, a blown assignment or literally going unblocked, specially Purdy. We were talking about how many hits he was taking every game before the NFCCG game :yeshrug:

If you do a poor job protecting your QB, the chances of getting a freak injury are bigger than if you don't.

I think it should be wake up call for how we handle our OL. Before the season even started we were all worried about all the uncertainty around it because Lynch and Kyle decided to just plug people that were already on the roster. I hope they learned we need better talent there, specially the right side.

I mean, most of y’all do want McGlinchey gone and this would be the likeliest result :heh:

Say what you will about McG, but he’s a consistent starter on a perennial contender who plays a premium position. He’s gonna get a bag from some team next month. If it’s not us, then we’d have a very difficult time upgrading at RT since we don’t have the cap space or the picks :manny:

Honestly I don't think the Niners ever win a Superbowl with Kyle. He's overrated and beyond stupid with alot of his decisions:yeshrug:

He'd have to have a lucky season like the Eagles. No injuries, Cruise through the playoffs against injured or mediocre team and not play the Kansas City Chiefs. That's the only way he'll win a SB.

I'm getting Jimbo Fisher vibes from Shanahan. I don't like HC's that call the plays. It rarely works in the long haul. They need to force him to let the OC make the calls like TAMU is doing Jimbo right now.

Or they could package all those picks they have and go get a right tackle in the first or second rounds.

You really want McGlinchey to be our RT in 2025 or 2026? because that's what it means extending him. If he already has issues right now, they are gonna get worse in the coming years.

Like I said weeks ago. Keeping him might look fine for 1 season, but he's gonna drive us insane in the coming years with his average play and big contract.

It would be idiotic to re-sign that bum. But this is the dumb decision making about Kyle. Drafting two straight RBs in the third. Why not do that on a tackle? I believe a 3rd Round tackle would outplay that bum as a rookie.

I mean, Kyle's had half of his years here be seasons like the Eagles, I don't think going to the NFC Championship in 3 out of 6 seasons is luck, especially when he's been doing it with injuries to major starters. We were 1 throw away from winning the SB and one dropped pick from going back to the SB.

Also, people keep saying a freak accident ended Purdy’s season. Ok, three freak accidents in one season to three straight Qb’s is unheard of maybe just maybe their is a common thread that runs through them named Kyle
I can at least see the point in this with Trey's injury because it was a designed run (even though I think Kyle is right to be running him), but Jimmy and Brock were injured in completely routine plays that every QB in the league faces. 9 times out of 10 they don't get injured. The schemes weren't even problematic, Kyle did nothing wrong unless you think we should be stripping all play action from our playbook or removing CMC or Kittle as pass threats.

Correlation ≠ Causation.

Nah. Eagles schedule was mad easy. Down right ridiculous. East is ass and the NFC South was so ass that it allowed extra teams from the East to go . :dead: The playoffs for them were a cake walk.

His play calling has effected a lot of games and his dumb ass draft picks prevented the team from getting even better. Niners really lucked out on the later picks. But someone really needs to call the plays. He can be predictable and doesn't utilize all his backs. So stupid to run CMC in the ground and then run the rest of the backs when we are up major digits or just towards the end of the game.

Defense is going to have to get even more turnovers for a chance at a ring. At this point I think Kyle reached his peak.

How did the niners get to one throw away because Kyle stopped running the ball and focused on using Jimmy’s arm. There was nine minutes left in the 4th quarter no guarantee they win that game even with the moment being a huge momentum changer.

Kyle’s peak is being very good never great

No chemistry with WRs. He hasn't played much. Don't understand the confusion.

What big runs has he had, which had you like damn vs any other running QB? When he runs shyt is so predictable that the defense is like. :childplease: He looks mad awkard in those designed runs. The times he was under duress, he looked much better running.

He did have this one…. But you right

I really don’t want him running like that

It's plain retarded to run him like that when you got 3 starting RBs :dahell: That run wasn't spectacular though. I'm talking about them Mike Vick and Lamar Jackson type runs.

You want him running when the pocket breaks down. shyt is nice every time a QB scrambles for the first down on some 3rd and 9 shyt. Keeps the chains moving. Trey can do that. That was one knock on Jimmy... He taken that sack on third down. :francis:

That clip clearly shows Trey not knowing how to avoid getting hit, dude got the first down because of the way the defender tackled him and he was very close to getting hit in the head too by the other defender :pachaha:
