It true, a lot of them funny noise spaceship sounding beats didn’t age too well

Add track masters to that

I actually love discussions like this because it’s always cool to hear others opinions

I see it differently when it comes to The Neptunes

They are the only producers from that era who could still produced those same beats today and it still sounds like 50 years ahead of its time

The Neptunes beats are timeless to me

All producers have a few misses if we’re being fair

Timbaland was dope as hell, but I like The Neptunes sound more
I hear you, but I'm just speaking on a "If I never heard this and you told me it was done now or 2 years ago I'd believe you" wave. Tim fits that more especially since a good deal of his beats operate at a modern tempo (55-80 or 110/160 BPM depending on how the artist treats it).

I see what you saying :ehh:

It all comes down to what’s more pleasing to your ears

The Neptunes have a futuristic sound that I love. It’s like outer space

This.

I feel like Timbaland's sound was more futuristic. It is evident because his sound is still being sampled and artists are still being influenced. Even some of the deep cuts.

I feel like The Neptunes lifted a lot of their sound from this track:

Timbaland's drum programming sounds like now even though its nearly 30+ years old.

Interesting

The Neptunes sound and influence on music is still there too. Armani White had a hit song “Billie Eilish” in 2022 sampling Noreaga’s song Nothin’ produced by The Neptunes in 2002 :wow:
