Dope doc about one of the pioneers of southern hip hop. Was hoping they’d give more behind the scenes footage of them cooking up something in the lab, but the “Waterfalls” and “Don’t Let Go” stories were:wow:
good to see 2Chainz, Luda, Justice League, Metro and others give them props

:pacspit:@culture vulture cac supreme Jimmy Iovine throwing $20 million at them and saying “make another Waterfalls”

:scust:@:takedat: begging, pleading and encouraging Dre to take his shirt off in the Player's Ball video

:snoop:@Rico developing a stutter as a result of his partying days. Do cocaine brehs:beli:

Got chills watching this whole thing. The way "waterfalls" came about and Rico is still getting checks from that song today :wow:
:mjcry: At Rico giving Kast the publishing. He really lived by morals :mjcry:

:smh: At Kast literally taking ON's formula and running with it to make an album that went diamond
That story of Rico's mom letting 20+ kids stay in her house and work on music all times of the night and she didn't bother them :wow:and when Rico would get a check and make sure everybody in the house could :eat: is :wow:
You brehs should also watch this (2 parts)

i'd always heard that future was rico's cousin
waterfalls took TLCs album sales from 2 million to 11 million:whew: i can only imagine how much rico has gotten in royalties from that:whew:

rico seems like one of those street dudes with morals who doesn't play by the snake rules most people in the music biz do. he just wanted to make good music, make some money and keep himself and his friends out of the streets.

he could've been as ruthless and cutthroat as diddy and raped nikkas pockets but like he said, he can sleep peacefully knowing that no one is mad at him...he couldve crossed the wrong person and paid for it in blood.

:salute:Moms for letting all them nikkas grow creatively in her basement,
guys from all walks of life eating big ass boxes of chicken, smoking good, sleeping on unwashed blankets :heh:
grooving to early Organized Noize shyt...you know Rico's sister was super bad back in them days..:noah:
I'm gonna have to watch this again..

The scene where they get in depth about the drugs ...did you nikkas hear what was playing in the background?...that shyt was ill...

I was so hurt reading the credits inside the stankonia cd ...people used to to ask me what I thought of stankonia...I would say naw that aint Outkast...that's pimptrickgangstaclick

It's out there. I found it with a quick google search. I was just bumping it about a month ago.

How about a non-censored version of the Cool Breeze album? I've never heard one. I own the cd and vinyl but they're both edited. Definitely messes-up the flow to "Watch for the Hook".

It doesn't exist.
“On ‘East Point’s Greatest Hit’, every copy was the edited version. The explicit version was never released. Was this your idea or the label’s idea?”
COOL BREEZE: “Mainly, it was the record company but I remember saying that I wanted my album to be clean. When we brought the featured artists in, they got edited. We had them do clean versions but Rico didn’t like those versions so we bleeped the dirty versions. It was all out of my hands.”
