I'd say they'll try again in about 5-10 years.

The funny thing about talking DC is that everyone chastises them for rushing into a teamup, but now that they're taking they're going back to the drawing board and working things out behind the scenes, nikkas are mad they're taking too long. Not saying you're doing this, OP, but everyone gotta wait.

Most of what we know about their current plans are the three movies officially on the docket and industry scuttlebutt. Joker is outside the main universe, but we know Wonder Woman 1984 and Birds of Prey are next year. James Gunn is working on Suicide Squad 2, Aquaman and Shazam are confirmed for sequels, Matt Reeves has The Batman, Rock says Black Adam starts shooting next year, Ava is working on New Gods, and Flash is about ready to go once they either bush Ezra Miller or that nikka gets his mind right and decides to not fukk up his bag. That's more than enough for the next couple years while they decide what they're going to do with Justice League.

I think people problem is that most questions you can ask about any of their upcoming slate can be answered with :yeshrug:

Are any of these movies in continuity? :yeshrug:

IS there a continuity? :yeshrug:

When does Flash come out? :yeshrug:

Who's playing Batman? :yeshrug:

What's the deal with Suicide Squad? :yeshrug:

Does the Snyder Cut exist or not? :yeshrug:

I personally don't mind them chilling for a bit while they get their shyt together, but when your competition is an expert at the info dripfeed, you gotta give the people SOMETHING solid if you're still asking them to come out to these movies.

In 10 years, when those kids grow up, a Teen Titans movie is going to do some astronomical numbers.

They need to wait this one out and not do damage. People will be highly interested in DC once they take a hiatus from making movies. It’s just like music - all about tension and release.

If they insist on releasing movies, they need to hold off on Teen Titans for about 10 years and the reaction will be remarkable.

The thing is.... they waiting and giving fans a bunch of stuff no one is asking for. And before anyone goes there I’m not saying it’s gonna be good or bad, just no one asked for a Birds of Pray movie or New Gods.

People want the core 6 first.

It looks bad on them cuz they have all their properties and ain’t releasing or utilizing them. They are sooooo not in the situation that Marvel was in where they had to get creative.

I’m if it was flipped and Marvel had Spider-Man and Xmen and Fantastic 4 from the start but decided to do movies of characters no one asked for.... I’m not sure people would’ve been as receptive.

DC is falling behind and fukk us but think about our kids generation. They growing up in a era with Marvel winning and DC floundering, it’s gonna be hard to come back from that.

If you was 6 when IM came out.... now you 17.... when you’re in your 20s you finna look back and be like “damn I was raised on Marvel as a kid”

The reboot talk should be dead. That 1 billion Aquaman just made killed all that. Not to mention Wonder Woman 84 is probably a lock to do a billi as well.

General audiences are still interested in DC films. At this point, it's really only nerds on the internet holding grudges, and they watch all these movies anyway. No need to reboot when you've got some pieces working and the others can be fixed.

But again, what would you have them do? If things are still in early development, there's nothing to talk about. We saw how announcing shyt before it's ready bit them in the ass when BvS and JL didn't pan out and they had to blow most of it up. You're essentially asking them to make the same mistake they already made. Not to mention that when they do announce something, it's instantly met with scrutiny and mockery. They don't have the freedom Marvel has to announce anything and have it be instantly hyped as the next big thing, so they have to play their cards more carefully.

But to answer these questions:

Everything announced save Joker is still in the same continuity.

Flash is 2021.

We don't know yet. Should be announced this year.

James Gunn is writing and directing. Sequel to the first that will be something of a soft reboot given all the new characters.

No one cares about the Synder Cut but weirdos on the internet.

Everyone involved with DCCU up until this point needs to jump off a bridge.

Marvel just showed these rich out of touch execs how this was supposed to be done if the people in charge just stuck to the source material

You don't speak for everybody, the actors have already spoken up about scenes they shot that got the axe and even i want to see that shyt along with the full uncut suicide squad. Fukk DC for just keeping that all under wraps for some asinine reason.

They should just reboot the Justice League in a few years. Like I said before in other threads you don't need to do individual movies leading up to Justice League like Marvel did with the MCU. Everyone knows who Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc. Majority of the Justice League has been in the public eye constantly for decades. Marvel didn't have that luxury with Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, etc.

Just have the league already established and have them go up against the Legion of Doom and get the writers from the animated series to write it.

"Reboot for 10 years then come back" :dwillhuh:

Imagine telling shareholders you're shelving your most valuable IP for 10 years during the Golden Age of CBMs, especially after a Billion dollar Aquaman fick :laff: you would be blacklisted from Hollywood quick af. No one even knows what the landscape will be 10 years from now. CBMs might be grossing an average of 600M by then. Might as well take advantage

Who give af about continuity when TDK made a Billi when the MCU didn't even exist yet and there were no 3D gimmicks? :manny:

It wasn't great but my first impressions after seeing it for the first time was that it was a dope live action Justice League unlimited episode.

It was supposed to be epic tho so in that regard it's a disappointment but I found enjoyment in it

Hopefully Marvel kicking their ass will Force em to create an epic story Arc that accumulates with a Darkseid showdown years from now. It would suck if they just accepted their L and continued to make solo non connected films

I still can't believe they fukked up justice league. The fukking JUSTICE LEAGUE. As much as i love what they did with the avengers, with all due respect to the MCU, if justice league was done right, it would have been an even bigger deal than the avengers because for years, up until 2012, the justice league was always more iconic and well known. Plus we all grew up with the cartoon. Warner Brothers should be a fukking shamed of themselves
I’m a Marvel Stan and I agree 100%:francis:
If we being real the name Justice league alone is more iconic than Avengers:yeshrug::yeshrug:
I’ll admit that it really is a damn shame:hhh:
