Yep, Bryan was being left off Mania, put in a storyline where he was mistaken for being a virgin.
CM Punk dropped that promo and Bryan wins MITB a few weeks later. Not saying they`re directly related but if you don't think Punk's popularity and success didn't help Bryan, you're fooling yourself.

Rock brought change a long time ago...his influence is insurmountable. His promo style is copied by every type you can think of in every major and Indy wrestling spot that exists. Be it female or male....be it WWE maineventer or midcarder. But that goes without saying.
Punk complains about the state of wrestling but he doesn't complain that much anymore after he got that one year push, did he? I never told him to shut up. He says what he wants but he full of contradictions. He wanted Rock out of the top spot for not being there until he got his WM paycheck last year and changed his whole fukking tune. Then there's the fact he wants to wrestle Austin on the same shyt he criticized the Rock for. He's double talking. Whining. Crying. Doesn't make sense since he's got the most and puts over no one.

Bryan got pushed because the crowd wouldn't let him die off and be a chump. He was getting built up back in 2010....he was damn near the star of Summerslam 2010 but of course the WWE couldn't help themselves and had to make it be about Cena by the end of the match.
Who gives a fukk what he wrestles him for. The WWE is nothing when Austin is around..it's nothing when the Rock or Undertaker is around because they are above it on every level that matters. No gimmick reigns means anything near what they have always brought to the table. Punk wanted to wrestle Austin at Mania and throwing dirt on the Mania 28 main event to get that thought process out there. A hating ass nygga really if you want to get technical about it.

You ask the hater patrol over the one who has the most answers? It goes like this...CM Punk is good. Always has been. Those cats quoting him about the Rock were against him WHOLESALE in 2008 and backing up a little bytch like Johnny Metro aka John Morrison over Punk. Both Metro and Edge..they were backing those two over him and saying that Punk was overrated, didn't have any mic skills, and wasn't all that good in the ring. To be what he is today, Punk had to use the Rock as a prop to get attention on himself. Alright. Some wrestlers need to blur the line to keep a light on themselves. But then he got silly..in every single interview he had the last quarter of 2011, "I wish it was me and Austin instead of Rock and Cena." He said it like 5 different ways and of course speaking against the Rock makes you seem like a "rebel" all of a sudden. Jealousy and envy meant he was rebellious. A small minded insight on the matter but one that prevails in a scab TSC.
He changed his tune before Mania 28 though when he was able to benefit off of the Rock's presence like everyone else did. The only one who was POPPING shyt and APOLOGIZING is CM Punk. Not R=G. He had to bow down...just LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. Blandy did...Cena did...and the Attitude Era stars already knew what was up.
