That happened to me early yesterday morning. I went to Luk Oil on central avenue in orange around 5:15 am. 15 cars were ahead of me. That's just the side I was on. Got a full tank. Reg. was $3.89 a gallon. Took me $85 to fill up my truck. Didnt get home until 6:48am.

this is the fallout breh, I had to leave the State during Katrina just to have some type of sense of normalcy.
It's gonna be crazy like that for a few more days friend.

WRONG!!!! My black ass is still here.
3 days without electricity. We have no running hot water, my community is destroyed due to looting and we're running out of food.
As tough as these last 4 days were I am grateful for my fiancé. His survival skills kept us afloat (no pun intended).
I didn't know you could cook on a gas stove even if the power was out (don't judge me
) or that filling a tub with boiling water to take a bath is one of the best things on earth.
The fact that we grew closer instead of killing each other makes me love him more :D
Still no cable or Internet (turned my wifi off my phone using my 3G network) but, I am happy.
Everyone in Coney Island & Every other city/state/borough affected by hurricane sandy.

I said don't judge me got damn it!!!
I figured because our stove is plugged into a socket it would have stopped working like the refrigerator
When this man started cooking everything before it went bad, at first I was like wtf?!? The stove is working.... Then it was
as soon as that food hit my stomach. I just realized, I didn't grow up as poor as I thought. As messed up as it sounds, I'm glad he endured hard times during his youth it helped us tremendously....
