Part of that is coaching though. There's coaches out there that coach big hit over getting the man to the ground. It's ridiculous that everyone is amazed when Antione Winfield never missed tackles when that was the way it was supposed to be taught in the first place. My high school coach made us run laps if we tackled cats head first like a lot of players do now.

I remember first time I completely went dark on a field I was 14, I woke up on top of the cat I hit and no one noticed I was out, but I never lowered my head like that again. I played until I graduated college with only 1 other completely black out moment and maybe 20 or so times getting dazed. Helmets ain't the only reason
