Troy said he didn't consider those times real concussions. He said he has had like 9 documented "real deal" concussions.

I suffered a concussion last year from football in my senior year of college. Honestly I wish I had just stuck with track or basketball cause I haven't been the same since. That being said I probably took 8-10 hits a season that left me dizzy or with a head ache. In order for you to feel that way from a hit your brain had to suffer some sort of trauma thus being some sort of concussion.

it depends on how bad of a concussion you get ive gotten a mild concussion and a heavy one and it was real different. But taking 100 very hard hits a year playing safety doesn't surprise me, its definitely going to leave a mark on his health permanently

Trust me, the more of this concussion talk, former players with brain injuries, and suicide deaths, the more changes. They have made safety changes every year for the last few years now. It's subtle now, but it's having a cumulative effect. And the players are only getting bigger, stronger, and faster. I can see a nikka dying on the field one day :dead:

With that said, do you think OJ can get aquittal or appeal if he goes to that defense?

The guys who played with Seau say players get over like 500 over the course of a career or something like that. Think about that tho. there's no purpose amongst humans for bashing our skulls against others or against hard things.

We are not rams or deer with antlers. You're skull serves the purpose of protecting ur brain from accidental hits...not purposeful full on collisions.

That said, bring on the college football season and NFL. :skip:

This is true. But feeling like that 50 to 100 times a year is not cool. I think the exact words he said was getting your bell rung. Just over a five years span, that's 250 times, if you take the low estimate. A nikka ringing your bell 250 in 5 years will leave you with some collateral damage, whether it's deemed a concussion medically or not

Definitely not, and it definitely has to do some damage.

But there are plenty of NFL players who had all that shyt happen and are perfectly fine, so I can't believe the 100 concussions a year thing.

I think a lot of these studies about the depression of the retired players fail to also recognize why a lot of these guys are depressed. It's not just always the hits that fukked their brain up, it's because it is sad to go from being a star to just being a dude.

This is why rock stars do that shyt until they're 70

When I heard seeing a few stars that you eventually shake off is a grade 1 concussion, I immediately became worried.
