Every year the local stations in NYC show the name readings of the people who got killed in the attacks. So it's still a big deal in this area. I assume the rest of the country has normal programming on 9/11 mornings.


I remember the smoke pouring out of lower manthattan skyline in the days after 9/11. What's crazy is Flight 587 straight up crashed in the Rockaways that November after 9/11.

I work there now and it’s always a somber quiet mood by the memorials. I’ve seen slow of people leave flowers and look for names. It’s still very raw for lots of people.

9/11 - a historical and tragic day , Yes and may the day is mourned every year! But after 9/11 with what went on overseas and also here inside of the USA is unforgettable too and unforgiveable!!
The ultra hostile racism to muslims and non muslims who resemble muslims was disgusting and typical traits of America..the Afghan & Iraq invasions and bombings were sick..Guantanamo Bay was inhumane and evil..
So 9/11 is just a tragic day nothing more or less..the US has more blood on her paws!

Anyone else remember someone on the news broadcast saying they could see Satan’s face in the smoke from the towers? I’ll never forget that. My baby sitter picked me up from school that day and we watched the news broadcast of the aftermath.

True but still for 2001 it’s still mindblowing considering phone cameras weren’t really a thing and you would have to lug around a camcorder.

For example, I went down the Titanic rabbit hole last year and a lot of my visualization of what happened came from the movie and various animations on YouTube. For 9-11 pretty much the entire thing is available.
