The real question is if anybody on The Wire could fukk with Todd da gawd:wow:

Instead of a "safehouse" Huell would've been left in one of the vacants

This is classic brains vs brawns for me. I'd lean Vic's way because while he was more brawn he knew how the streets worked. While Walt was a lot more book smart he didn't have the street sense at all. However you are correct, the extortion would have an expiration date, however both entities would know that and in this situation In The Shield universe, Walt wouldn't stand a chance, the suspension of belief situations that are present in the Breaking Bad series just didn't really exist. In terms of the Breaking Bad universe maybe its 50/50.

And if you want to look at Shane as a weak point of the strike team, imagine what Vic would do to Jesse, especially if Hank was able to sway him.

Didn't even think of that, lol.

It's not really brawn vs brains. It's self preservation vs not giving a fukk. Vic and his team folded like origami when shyt got real, because they had self preservation.

Walt died among his enemies with a smile on his face.

For the record I'm not saying Walt is a threat to Vic. Walt isn't much of a physical threat to anybody....Jesse kicked his ass.

I'm saying, when it comes down to the reasons for Walt doing what he's doing....his ego, his pride, the feeling of being "the man"....those were the sole motivators for his actions.

So, if you deprive him of those things....extort him, make him feel like a bytch, etc. he has no reason to live. He would kill himself, along with the Strike Team, the next time he seen them.

Imagine if any of the people Vic hurt or intimidated went into their next meeting willing to die as long as it meant he died too. Vic's street smarts, his clout, his team, none of that would matter.

Obviously that could never happen on "The Shield" because the show would be over. Even if they introduced a character like that they couldn't let it go to that point.

"The Wire" match up is great, because it's straight police work vs Walt's intelligence and/or plot armor. "The Shield" doesn't work because it's brute force vs a guy who doesn't care about dying. They'd have to kill him outright almost immediately.

I agree The WIre is a much better match up.

But in regards to Vic, if no headway was made with Walt in extortion attempts we know he wouldn't hesitate to have him killed or arrested and then put Jesse or some other person like Todd in his place.

And I think you are selling the Strike Team a bit short. They lasted a good 7 seasons and went through a lot of shyt from a lot of different directions before they were forced to lean back.

Nah nah....I'm saying Walt would definitely play ball. He'd be a good little boy long enough to build a bomb or make some ricin. And then that would be that.

The problem with discussing "The Shield" is people assume Walt would be appearing in that universe written as just a random guy Vic deals with. Which is unfair because it's not as if Vic would last on "Breaking Bad", either.

You get what I'm saying? So any confrontation between the two would have to be some series ending shyt for either character. And Walt excels in that scenario better than Vic, given their respective finales. Hopefully that makes sense.

i understand all that... what i'm saying is krazy 8 knew his own damn cousin was cooking with jessie... so he willingly snitched on his own cousin... when he could have JUST snitched on jessie

after the bust.. jessie comes directly to krazy 8's house.. with the crazy dog (jessie even comments how he got a NEW dog).. and knocks and comes right in... so krazy obviously knew who jessie was, how he looked, pretty much everything about him..

but he snitches to the dea, and all he says is "oh i know some guy named the capn cooks here but i can't give you a description or nothing else"

mind you after the bust, when jessie comes over, krazy says "how you get money to reup so fast" so krazy was supplying HIM... he wasn't competition

1. why did he rat his own cousin out?

the dea already knew he was hustling and snitching on comp... so why hold back, not warn your cousin, and not give a good description to get him hemmed up

We obviously don't know why he snitched, but my guess is that he snitched on Emilio (and presumably Jesse), so that he could take over his business (Hank said he snitches on his competition and takes over their territory or something like that), but since Jesse wasn't there at the time, his planned failed, so he blamed Jesse so that Emilio wouldn't raise any suspicion of K8 snitching on him (it was stated Emilio made bail, also). Or maybe Emilio and Jesse were close, so K8 wanted to cut Jesse out of the picture, and it could just be Emilio and K8.

2. why didn't he give the dea, who he been snitching on people for years, more info than "he goes by capn cook and he MIGHT be white or latino"

Now, this, I'm not going to argue with.

God damn someone needs to write this "Breaking Bad"/"The Wire" cross over. It would be beautiful.

I think Gus and Avon would get along. Stringer would probably be :whoo:that Gus walks the line of criminality and business so easily.

I could see Hank getting along with every cop. There's no way in hell he'd tolerate Burrell or Rawls though.

Mike would probably be :beli: over most of the street level goons. He was a professional. The closest "The Wire" had to him was Chris.

Weebay, Slim Charles, the first batch of goons Avon had, or Chris/Snoop he probably wouldn't mind. But that group of fukk ups Avon had after he got out of jail :snoop:

Mike would lose his mind.

McNulty trying to fukk Lydia. :shaq:

Marlo meeting the cousins would be the most :birdman: shyt ever. 10 minute scene, no dialogue at all.

Jesse meeting Bubbles. :lupe:
Nick Sobotka making a deal with Todd and Jack after Cheese robbed Ziggy. :lupe:

Gretchen and Elliot Schwartz making a business deal with Clay Davis. :ehh:

Kima trying to fukk Principal Molina though. :whew::ahh:

Herc hangs out with Badger and Skinny Pete for surveillance, has so much fun he forgets he's a cop. The whole ep is them playing video games and discussing "Deep Space 9" while McNulty and Bunk listen to the wire like :comeon:

Prezbo mentions a suspicious chemistry teacher to Lester. :lupe:
