No you are going by that. No one in real life goes like that and no one in Holly wood does as well.

They obviously do if biracials are getting the roles.

No one goes by racial makeup? So you are stating the socioeconomic standing of biracials is equivalent to Blacks? :russ:

Lisa Bonet......... your turn?

I find this insulting on many levels...these cac execs basically saying "fukk you n!ggers and your culture. We're gonna make Aaliyah spanish just like we made Cleopatra and the Egyptians white". I never expected them to take the interpretation of black art seriously, but now, they just trolling us to see how far they can whitewash black culture cause they know they got all the power in their hands.

Oh the chick in the OP that's supposed to play Aaliyah in this vh1/Lifetime/Own network flick? She looks Spanish...she don't look black to me breh breh.

But what can I say though..I might be a bit too biased due to my background and knowledge of how Hollywood/The Media always tries to re-write the stories/history of black culture through their warped lens when it wasn't called for in general. We all know that when it comes to TV/Movies that there's a certain "comfort level" that they try to project/use when it comes to blackness. Can't be too black and if they as light as a brown paper bag...the better. I'm just saying in this case it's f*ckin inaccurate and a disservice to Aaliyah's memory.

Breh, your troll game is epic. But I'm simply not stupid.

If it's about genetic make up and not how you look (as you say, your opinion), then it'd make no sense that Rashida Jones (a woman who is genetically half black) is playing roles obviously meant for full white, nordic women. She's not even that good of an actress, people just like her LOOK.

So sorry to disappoint you. There's not DNA test or a responsibility to turn in a photo version of your family tree just to ensure that you're black, bi-racial, white, Indian, etc. just to get a movie role. I know that disappoints your conspiracy theories, but hey, it's like that sometimes.

If they could they'd make Frieda Pinto a bi-racial black woman (sans horrible black parents complaining that their child has no role model to look up into a movie), THEY WOULD.......... and then next week have her ass movin' around in a Bollywood movie the next week. Because of her LOOKS.

And Lisa Bonet hasn't gotten a role since I was a kid. LMAO. Do you want to bring up chitlin' circuit movies as well?

Sure it does. Rashida is half-Cac and thus has access to Cac connections. She is also the daughter of fukking Quincy Jones, a fair skinned Black himself. Bringing up an outlier isn't helping your argument.

And you still haven't proven your's at all sans a Nina Simone movie that has yet to be released. Lol. At least I have a (VERY POPULAR) outlier.

Your original point was that you won't catch a bi-racial playing white and you were proved wrong. In response you are either listing people who (a) Look black (b) Who get 0 roles in argument about light skinned bi-racials (because all biracials don't look the same) playing roles that are obviously meant for darker skinned blacks (hence your original Nina Simone example)

Thought I didn't notice that goal post shift huh? :umad:

Nope. My original point was that the amount of biracials playing White parts isn't proportional to them playing Black parts.

So she is biracial.

Now ask yourself, how many biracials are playing White roles?

(a) Look black

Doesn't matter, they are on the FRINGE of Black phenotypes and have Cac family and connections to move up the socioeconomic ladder in ways Blacks cannot

R. Kelly - Romany Malco
Timbaland - Anthony Anderson
Missy - Gaborey Sidibe
Ginuwine - Himself (he ain't doin' chit), or else Clifton Powell

One minute you're saying mixed people aren't black then the next you're saying they are black and shouldn't have their own racial group.

What the fukk is wrong with you? :dahell:

I didn't say yall were Black, I said they can IDENTIFY as Black as long as we put your kind at the bottom of the totem

all of the ones that pass as white.

and why would a biracial play a white role when they're too busy snuffing black people out of their roles

But aaliyah is light skinned herself and many Latinos have African ancestry. I really don't see any need for outrage here.

Which is my point.

Because Blacks are under-represented... balance.
