I didn't say yall were Black, I said they can IDENTIFY as Black as long as we put your kind at the bottom of the totem

Wait... what??? :pachaha::huhldup::snoop:

Do ya'll ever stop, read the sh!t you post and realize just how much ya'll sound like the same white folks you're allegedly have hate for?

Bottom of what totem? Cause Black Americans can afford to be on some fake-ass Indian caste system BS? Ya'll worrying about which niche to place "certain" blacks governed by idiotic criterias while the powers that be simply laughs his ass off and feels justified at the horrific overriding niche he's put your black ass in. Nikkas need to worry about about that, not "who can I oppress who doesn't look like me, even though I'm the first to pitch a bytch-fit when I feel oppressed"

But honestly, it's good to read. It can help people realize it's REALLY not about race, ethnicity, culture, creed, etc.

It's REALLY about the fact that human beings as a whole just happen to be really, really, shytty organisms :manny:

Aaliyah has 2 Black parents. All AAs are admixed but that does not equate to being biracial. And no, half blacks are biracial, not Black. If they want to identify as Black then they go to the back of the line.
I dunno breh, most AAs have internalized the one drop rule, they would probably defend biracial acceptance in the black community. I see where you're coming from though:obama:

If you, as a black man, can use the same rhetoric to oppress another as the enemy has done to your people, how is it about race and not about the fact that you're a hypocrite who's looking for someone to step on? Which is something endemic to all cultures and races... everyone's been oppressed at one point or another in history.

If you study immigration waves this is the exact same thing the established whites used against immigrants from everywhere, including their own. "Oh they're Slavs from Eastern Europe? They can come here & claim white but they better know their place."

How is what you're promoting any different?

Who said anything about oppression?

I don't believe in multiculturalism. I believe that people seek to be among their own (there is tons of data to support this). I believe all groups deserve their own autonomy and to be free of oppression of another group. Instead of making everyone the same, I think we should embrace our differences and respect each other. As for biracials, they should be judged by merit like anyone else. Sorry I don't think they should be first in line for Black MINORITY roles, they should lobby for more biracial roles if it is an issue.

You all are not mad about people's race or ethnic make up though. You are mad about their skin tone. Just say ya don't like light skinned black people (because you can very well be mixed and dark skinned or light skinned and not mixed) and K.I.M. And yeah, I know it's skin tone and not genetics cause Halle Berry has had an epically successful career and rapport with black people throughout such and she's biracial (but she doesn't look it)

Why are y'all so scared to admit that and coming up with all of the illogical fallacies to justify it? Got nikkas in here sayin' that Lisa Bonet, Evan Ross, and Boris Kodjoe are taking away roles for blacks when Denzel, Gabrielle, etc. and way more darker skinned blacks are casted before lighter skinned blacks. :mjlol:

If someone wants to show "black" in a movie, y'all actin' like the likes of Nia Long and Gabrielle are just getting over looked. Shiet, even in a movie like The Best Man 2, the light skin chick was only like a side character who was part Hispanic, and the lightskinned man (Terrence Howard) occupied the same capacity as well while all the darker characters were playing main roles. Did you all catch light skinned people catching hissy fits about damn movies about fictional characters though? :dahell:

When it comes to movies, dark skinned blacks STAY winnin', even the little roles that are passed down when it comes to movies about black people. Sans the Nina Simone thing, there's no true CURRENT example of light skinned people taking roles that are CLEARLY for dark skinned people like in biopics.

I'm quite sure winter in the D had Aaliyah looking extra pale and I'm pretty sure she didn't have Whoopie Goldberg type texture hair. Visually (cause I don't know her blood test result like Poitier), if y'all wanna really discuss it, Aaliyah looks MIXED herself.

She's wayyyyyyyyyyyyy lighter than Halle Berry who has been mentioned as "not being black" by the reverse brown paper bag crew. So IDK why y'all even arguin' when she's not black by your standards anyway. :yeshrug:

Breh, This shyt is hilarious.

A whole bunch of: Light skinned people aren't black, light skinned people suck. Halle Berry, Boris Kodjoe, all mixed and should not play "black" roles or represent "black" people.

But this chick is "black" and should only be played by "black" people?

:mjlol: Aaliyah is mixed by these nikkas own standards and therefore, should be played by MIXED people.

You're not black so what is it to you? This photo is touched up by the way. Originally Aaliyah looked like this:

Looks nothing like her.

Seriously, as much as I loved Aaliyah, what would an Aaliyah biopic be about? Sadly she simply didn't live a long lot interesting life.

nikka, aaliyah is barry hankerson's niece.
she been around gladys recording since a kid.
plus, her sound revolutionized rnb, with timbo.
on top of the fukkery with r kelly.
that should be explained in complete full.

Confuse phenotype and race when its clear biracials enjoy higher socioeconomic standing than Blacks. Make weak arguments.
You're the only one confused and have been talking in contradictions all thread. You're the one confusing phenotype and race. You have not acknowledged YET that someone can be DARKSKINNED AND BIRACIAL. You have not acknowledged yet that someone can be LIGHTSKINNED AND BLACK. But you can't acknowledge any of those because your whole argumemt goes down the drain because you started it out stupidly.

You haven't acknowledged any of these things because you stupidly started your argument about SKIN COLOR (stating that Zoe Saldana didn't look like Nina Simone) and now you're trying to shift it to race because (a) You realized there's a very big example of a very popular biracial woman playing some of the most popular "white woman" roles.. I know that's what you're doing and that's why it's so damn hard for you to find any legit examples to back up your claims because what you originally stated doesn't exist in the capacity you tried to initially portray.

Again you're not black nor do you know what you're talking about. There are no dark-skinned biracials, whatever you think to the contrary. Zoe Saldana does not look like Nina Simone. That much is obvious. Aside, Aliyah was a black girl that did treatments to herself (or had treatment done to her) to appear lighter and more beautiful. However her original appearance is not unlike many AAs:

She's a black girl and must be played by a black girl. Period.

Your argument is dumb and malformed.

Who cares about phenotype overlap between mulattos and Blacks? And? This is about economic opportunity first and appearance second.

I've already destroyed your Rashida example. She is the product of a fair skinned music mogul with connections and thus an outlier. Learn to think critically.

FYI.. My moms mixed and all of the women in my family are fair skinned so its ironic seeing you construct such an ill-formed argument
