Point is: Both Aaliyah and Zendaya (a Bantu name I see...) are both part black and lightskinned as fukk, so who cares if one plays another one in a movie.

Nah Aaliyah isn't "part" Black and she had to deal with the socioeconomic realities of having two Black parents. It does matter and Blacks like you who can't make that distinction are feeding into destructive tendencies. Mixed breeds better enjoy the days of Cacs putting them at the top of the Black totem because we ending that.

Very few people in this thread said she looked Mexican though:pachaha:

And the ones who did don't know what they're talking about.

Aaliyah is light skin now?

How are both of Aaliyah's parents black when you just typed that her grandmother was Native American

It didn't state Aaliyah's grandmother was Native American, it stated she had Native American ancestry. No mention to what extent.

Breh you stupid as fukk. If they meant it like that, why not just say Aaliyah is of Native American ancestry? Who gives a fukk about Aaliyah's grandmother enough to research HER old ass ancesters and not Aaliyah's? They were talking about her grandma specifically ass wipe. Jesus be a book of knowledge on this fukk boy.

Look at Aaliyah's mom and brother. :laff: Are they "black"?! :mjlol:

Please don't try to switch your argument to something else now that you're wrong again. :mjlol:

Aaliyah is mixed, and if her skin tone gene came out and made her look a little lighter, you'd be singing a wayyyyy different tune about her race.

Blah Blah socioeconomic realities STFU

It's a thread about a casting couch Disney bytch doing a Lifetime biopic about a mediocre over hyped singer from the 90s. Yes Aaliyah has 2 "black" parents. But apart from that, these two girls couldn't be more alike and are afforded the same colorism-based privileges. They come from the same crop and represent the same thing. You act like Aaliyah is Nina Simone and Zendaya is Zoe Saldana.

And then have the nerve to come in the same thread and say 'Blackness is not based on phenotype'....as if Aaliyah wasn't chosen over 1000's of darkskin girls with the same talent than her or more. As if there's no socioeconomic links to colorism.

yeah I'm gonna call bullshyt and finally leave this smart-dumb coli thread...

Claim a Black-Black household on average does as well as a White-Black household on average in America :russ:
