Funny thing is it seems a lot of dudes on Neogaf are already preordering it. One guy said his store already got like 15 preorders.

I'm hoping they put a Kiosk of this up soon so I can try it out.

*Downloads update*
"Your storage space is full"

I think they said you could connect like a 1TB hard drive to this though.

I'll wait on the sidelines. If external drives work without a hitch then they saved a lot of money.

Not impressed overall by it and idk why, its a good looking system, i could do with out that big ass control , the thing i am most impressed by is this

Nintendo TVii supported by 'all' major US and Canadian cable companies, dish services -- Engadget

thats big that they were able to sing up ALL major U.S carriers, that something MS and GOOGLE been trying to do for a minute

as far as memory dude nintendo dude talkin about you can hook up a full 3TB drive on there if you wanted Nintendo Wii U expandable memory explained, TiVO hardware not built in -- Engadget thats impressive

and the TIVO/DVR was impressive too until i read this

Fils-Aime also confirmed that the Wii U doesn't have TiVO hardware built into it -- functionality will require an existing TiVO box. The same goes for DVR functionality, which Fils-Aime said Nintendo doesn't want consumers to bear the expense of.

All and all pretty much the type of drop i was expecting from nintendo something low key but will move units in the long run

well, now that you put it like that, that is impressive. But Nintendo needs new IPs immediately. Resistance, Gears of War, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed. These were original games that came out and did their own thing. Nintendo smarten up, you can keep dropping Mario games only.

I want an honest answer. Aren't all these carriers that will be available for free on WiiU the same ones on XBL that is required to be paid for?

No not all the carriers and not full access like this, XBL has very limited access to carriers and even them its limited certain shows or channels , like ESPN is on there but your cable company has to have partnered with them in order for you to receive access, my company cable vision doesn't so i dont have that access yet, same thing happend with HBOgo for a while some cable companys didnt give access some did, now most have

but anyways i expected MS to have this same type of access when the new xbox drops paid or not there version will most likely be superior
