If it were scripted I doubt Bruce Lee would come so heavily padded , he was clearly expected to get hit.... plus it didnt look like he pulled punches even tho when you are sparring you dont use full force ..... I could be wrong as I box , martial arts isnt really my discipline but just my two cents as a fighter
