The original sucked

"fans" of the movie need to thank Tim Curry for his performance because outside of that...the plot, characters, "horror", were all ASS

i disagree..the flash back/parallel scenes were wonderful, very reminiscent of Stand by me, but the mini-series does fade badly at the end..

I finished the book last night. That shyt was crazy, I can't believe how much better the ending was than the movie.

That mental battle shyt was weird, but it was so much better than them firing a fukking rock from a slingshot at the big ass spider. I was :to: when they started forgetting eachother, what kind of voodoo fukkery is that?

shyt was dope tho, i'ma start reading the shining next, then pet cemetary. Ya'll nikkas got me on a steven king movie-book comparison marathon now.

Yeah the book "The Shining" is also a lot better than the movie. Its my second favorite King book. Although they did do justice to the book when they did the TV mini series for The Shining. The story was great but the acting was pretty terrible. Specially the little kid.

The Stanley Kubrick version was still great tho. Not as good as the book but a classic flick nonetheless.

I also read Pet Cemetery back in the day. I haven't read it in ages tho. I got the movie on DVD tho, seen it a few times already.

Another good book by him is "Insomnia" check it out if ur interested.

What's 11/22/63?

Amazon.com: 11/22/63: A Novel (9781451627299): Stephen King: Books

It's obviously centered around the Kennedy Assassination, but that's kind of just the backdrop. The main story is more about the main character, who learns of a "wormhole" of sorts that transports to 1958. He goes back to stop the assassination, and ends up with much more. It's a good read. It took forever for me to finally dive into it, as I thought it was gonna be his (King's) own historical take on the event, and I've read plenty about it already.
