don't think of it as a "remake" if done correctly it'll be more like "the thing" in the sense that it's another adaptation of the same book. the original movie "the thing from another world" from 1951 was adapting the same book that "the thing" in 1982 adapted. yet both movies are completely different. if done correctly this version of "IT" will bear little resemblance to the movie from the 90s.

Hmm. Sounds promising. I liked the TV series fine, but if it's gonna get a 2 movie treatment, the shyt better be rated R.

I just started 11/22/63. Once I'm done with that, I'm gonna re-read IT. Kinda cool too, as early on the main character goes to Derry. I couldn't exactly remember the timeline of IT, but sure enough, there's already been a mention of what happens in IT.

lol, The Dark Tower series is like the "Spine" of King's "Book of Works". Everything is intertwined. It's awesome how so much shyt is tied together.

Yeah, I've read through it twice already. Gonna go atleast twice more before all is said and done.

And I've been meaning to get on the Ice & Fire books. Got 'em chilling on the iPad, just waiting. One of these days.

I'm on the fence with this one....like the Nightmare on Elm street movie, this movie shouldnt be remade.

It was great the first time....no need for a remake...plus the movie came out in the 80s correct? So why remake a movie that came out less than 30 yrs ago?

Less than that. The 1st IT flick came out in 1990.

But from what I've read this flick won't really be a remake, it will be a new adaptation so it might have little resemblance to the original.

But the Nightmare On Elm Street remake was f*cking terrible. They shoulda left that alone, it was a wack, unecessary remake. It didn't bring anything new to the table. The new IT has potential. Could be great.
