:childplease:........you a lie bruh.......wasnt no line of hundreds lined up in 1997 for a shoe that cost $180 plus tax.....wasnt even like that in NY.....please stop with the ducktales......

Man if yall was a bunch of broke ass niqqa who couldnt afford them sh!ts then thats on yall!

What your saying is in todays economy hundreds can line up for $220 galaxies but in 1997 when the economy was much stronger and cost of living was more affordable they couldnt line up for the $180 foamposites one?

Well...theres a Metro bus that goes from Greenbelt station to BWI, so whats your point???

Baltimore is now heavily DC influenced these days. They dress like us now and they stay partying out here. Arundel Mills is basically Baltimore but walking around you wpuld think you was in PG

I would include Baltimore but would not count anything below Woodbridge

Bmore dress like yall?????

Homey the hype for these was no where near the levels that they would be at now.....wasn't no one lining up for these when they first dropped.....the shoe game back in '97 was nothing like it is now....how old are you?

you gotta be like 15 or something.

in 97, the minimum wage was $4.75.... a nikka who had a job,and was old enough to work full time, would've had to work 40+ hours to even be able to afford a pair of them with the tax.

having a pair of pennys was a big deal, unless you got them as a birthday present, the only way you was gonna have a pair was if you was selling dope, or you robbed a nikka for his.

Mustve been a lot of money in PG then. Becuz in HS these joints were very common. Then the Flightposites, then the blue and black KGs, KG Flighposites and Hyperflights. And this is not counting the Timbs and Jordans and various other shoes that a lot people also had like the Duncans...every popular shoe was over $100 and they were all over the place.

Not me tho...I only had Solo Flights and other low end Nikes and then Timbs every other day :beli:

Yes there were lines outside stores in the mid to late 90s for Js/Foams/Penny's..do you know about the Space Jams...And B-More and D.C. are worlds apart fashion wise.
I go to sleep and wake up to this, the intent of this thread was not to discuss fashion...

:pacspit: "So i'm back to set the record straight"

The W.M.A is the Washington Metropolitan Area (subway/metro accessible). This is not the same as the D.M.V. I will concede the 7 cities region as not a part of the DMV.

However you cannot say the DMV has distinct lines and is not expanding since its only where the metro goes. Then in the next breath acknowledge that the metro is expanding..
:childplease:

This is a thread about athletes from the area not a thread about who's lawn the HOA should be cutting.

How were there lines? J's were released during the day time in the 90's.......along with a bunch of sought after shoes......
