I should've phrased my post a little more directly - it isn't churches that give nothing in return. It is their so called leader, god, that gives nothing in return. People can claim to be healed or saved by him, or that the church is doing god's work, but it's all people. When you're cured by doctors, it's doctors, not god. When you don't seek medical treatment, you die, like those white people in backwater places. When a church gives you food, it's from the money people give because they were told to give it, not because god magically provided you with food. The concept of a higher being is so easily broken and debunked.. why can't people just do good without the guise of a higher being?

What you fail to realize is that yes physically it is the money that gets you food, Doctors do heal, But to believers God put it on whoever heart to donate that money. People are Praying that your surgery goes without any complications. Whether or not its true we don't know, but have seen enough in their lives to believe. What is the crime in that? because your line of thinking is fine also. Just hate the condescending tone non believers have with believers. I get it bible thumpers are a little annoying, but so are the people talking shyt about your beliefs, especially when they're not pushing their ideologies onto you.

I understand your annoyance. It is a constant stream of shyt from both sides. Both are adamant the other side is wrong. I just don't like the actions of hard working people being passed off as Providence.

There was a church my boy, his mom & sister went to that I'd attend occasionally whenever I'd stay the night.
His pops went to a different one because he didn't like the pastor.
The pastor had a private helicopter and is now in prison for mortgage fraud. These dudes are pimps and criminals.
I remember when Jesse Jackson came to speak. They passed that collection plate around half a dozen times in a little less than 90 minutes.

It's a terrific hustle and incredibly easy to con and manipulate the naive.

i see it like such:
God created what we see, use, etc. including us. God gave us Gifts, Talents, Abilities. Non of what we do was our own doing if you take that into account.

meaning sure you made chicken noodle soup. but who gave you the chickens, the noodles, the water/ broth?

we dont make anything from scratch(from nothing, out of no where). all we can do is play with whats currently here.

who put this stuff here for us to play with?
who gave a highly intelligent person his/her's intelligence? which also helps said person to pursue becoming a doctor, which one day may help save a life. See i'm not a wack job. i know doctors are needed and so is certain medicines, treatments. i think all those things are gifts from God when you realize where all these things were derived.

of course its people doing the charitable works. But who puts that on these people's hearts to begin with?
blake was blessed with a small church, then he was blessed with huge church growth. which turned into what you saw above that i posted. those were God's blessings. so the fruit of such blessings should be credited to God.

NOw for a non believer. non of the above will matter. so if you truly dont believe, there is no reason to post such a question to begin with. i will always stick by my theory on so called "Non believers" that make it their job to constantly going on and on about something they do not believe in. I think that only happens because they are MAD at God. But yall believe he exists. you're just made at him. and nothing you say will convince me of otherwise. your actions say it all.
