did anyone else understand Tariq's tweet? It seems like an obvious strawman based on a "good" scammer" "bad" scammer argument that he made up with himself. Any one of these things can be looked at in isolation as negative.

No one should be supported blindly if evidence to the contrary is presented, otherwise you are pretty much saying Tariq is a cult leader.

I don't have the energy to explain all of my thoughts now and at this point, this shouldn't be what we're discussing. But you're right, Tariq doesn't want to be in a space where he needs to be accommodated, certainly not by people he has more money than.

This issue of money or control is where things fall apart when it comes to black movements and black leadership. This is just too pervasive and we need to address this at some point on this forum without arguing over personalities because this infighting is part of a bigger problem.

Has Tariq ever volunteered to open up his books for his projects? Why havent his stans demanded that? Nothing wrong with him making a profit. But it should be transparent. If he raises 200k for a conference you should know where the money is going. If he is personally pocketing over 30 percent then that's a scam plain and simple. The more money raised should mean the more he spends on the conference to make it better.. not more money in his pocket to spend on himself.
