Irvin probably didn't know his wife dressed him. But if Steve Smith wasn't emotionally deficient he could've snapped right back at Irvin for the clothes he wears. Smith comes across a person who has dealt with some type of childhood trauma that they haven't come to terms with.
Football analysts snap on each others clothes all the fukking time. Smith wont last long as an analyst acting like that.

I get what you're saying for sure and in most instances it's on point... In Smitty's warped view he's defending his wife, which should usually come over everything, but I get both concepts (yours and his). In this case, I think both of y'all are misappling the concepts.
