I always liked Quik better than Dre but rap has fukked up the mentality of so many people they have no idea what a producer is. You don't have to touch a single knob or instrument to be a dope producer. Dre is a producer who takes shyt and makes it hotter.

I heard the original beat Drugs made that made it to Dre's album and to hear what Dre started with and orchestrated around it is phenomenal

dr. dre is bigger than someone just making a nice song or even a nice album from time to time. quik is my dude. and he's a west coast legend. top 5 westcoast producer westif you ask me. but with that said dre's sound changed over time more so than quicks, warren g', etc, etc. any of the so called WESTCOAST SOUNDING producers. it could change because dre is more of a conductor at this point than a producer. he's more quincy jones than he is dj quik. i'm not sure quick could do what dre does. but i know dre could do what quick does because dre did it back in his nwa days.
