The Heat wouldnt have more money if Mike Miller retires?
If Miller has back surgery, they can get an injury exception somewhere around 2.9 mil in addition to the mini mle if doctors say he should be out for the year.

That exception would be someone on a one year deal though

Get these nikkas outta here I don't want none of those old fukks riding the heat wave. Only person I would think of signing is lamar odem. He would fit in perfect with the heat and right now no one wants him.

The Heat have several options with Miller. They could:

Let him have the surgeries and rehab. He’s a useful player; he just scored 23 points in the Finals close-out game despite those injuries. It's hard to say he can’t play anymore after watching his shooting display.

Use their amnesty option for the three years and $18.6 million left on his contract. Miller has privately prepared for this for months. Arison still would have to write the checks, but Miller would be removed from the payroll and the team would save millions in luxury taxes and potentially carve out room for a new player. If Miller departs in this manner, Allen would be an excellent replacement.

Work out a buyout of the rest of Miller's contract that would limit the Heat’s spending and tax liability. He hinted at this possibility by saying, “I couldn't picture a better point to go out on top like this as a champion. But we'll see. We'll visit the doctors and see what parts work and don't, and go from there.”
Request a disabled player exception if the surgeries might keep Miller out an extended period. They could get a $2.9 million coupon to sign a free agent for next season. However, this would add to their tax and payroll issues.

Get Miller declared permanently disabled and have his contract removed from their books if league doctors agree. But they couldn’t do it until a year after he’s played his last game. That could help the Heat financially in the long term but not short term.

Odom is most likely going back to the Clips and it's a great fit for him

barry isnt hated just cuz he cheated. plenty of people cheated yet none of them were treated like barry :manny:

completely disagree, it was cuz he cheated _AND_ denied it and broke records that have stood for ages and didnt earn it

I recall pictures of barry back int he 90s when he was playing against the braves ( for the pirates ) and he was a skinny tiny mofo, then he got beast mode, right..

and there have been plenty of other baseball players who cheated and got hated, roger clemens comes to mind

iv'e been more then respectful to you and the thunder yall nikkas just took that L so im gonna respectfully say fall back loose this isn't about you breh but since you says nobody cares

https://twitter.com/#!/search/realtime/Allen Gay

that's just a bunch of idiots on twitter being idiots

i been a fan of rays since he was with the bucks, i dont get this you gotta be a fan of so and so just when he's on X team - hell even when the lakers were playing the Cs i was hoping Ray had a good game, and just let the best team win

it's interesting how so many fans think they "own" the players, that is a grown man he can do whatever the fukk he wants to

the ONLY problem i had with lebron was the way he chose to do it, if lebron had just had a press conference and said "hey i tried really hard to win a title at home, im sorry it didnt happen, it just wasnt meant to be. I have an opportunity to go play a game I love with some friends of mine and i cant pass up that opportunity" i would have completely (as would most other sane NBA fans) had NO problem with that, much respect, do your thing, play wherever the fukk you want, but NO, he made a big "decision" about it, and toyed with multiple cities and their fans's hopes/dreams and then squashed them like bugs on national tv, that was mad lame, and i really wish and hope he was just being a young dumbass kid listening to stupid advisors and that wasnt his idea, im sure in retrospect he realizes that was a boneheaded lose/lose move

also i always thought the better situation was him and dwade going to the bulls , imagine rose, dwade and lebron on the bulls, hah

neways. yea.. these are grown men if they wanna go live in south beach or so cal or fukking san antonio let them do it, and just appreciate their play

:russ: people are STILL bringing up The Decision

that was a monumental day in the heats/ bulls / knicks / nets/ and cavs existence wasnt it? so of course it holds weight, especially since well you know this is a forum where people post _opinions_, it is one of the sole reasons lots of people dislike LBJ, to say otherwise is being delusional
