I ain't capin for Sandler at all but this is just business realities. He makes money. half his movies ain't funny to me but I still enjoy his films with my FAMILY.
movies like Click and Blended and shyt I watch with my kids and they all buy in. THAT is who he is making movies for.

I will say that this movie looked more promising in trailers before I saw sandler, but I still have plans on taking the kids tomorrow to see it.

Pixels made $49M worldwide in 3 days on a $88M budget. it will easily end up around $200M worldwide when it's all said and done 2-3 months from now. that's not a flop.

of course studio's want every movie they make to blow up the box office, but that's not reality. most studio's are content with their movies breaking even at the box office because then all of the rentals, sales, and television airing rights are 100% profit for countless years to come. there is a reason why studio's continue to allow him to produce movies and that's because most of them are profitable regardless if they are crap or not.
