I would have no problem with this if Bendis had actually shown even an ounce of skill in how he revealed it. instead it came across as some sort of immature frat house joke. Bendis is such a shytty writer.

He's frustrating, because I've read a lot of his books, dude is very talented. but he struggles mightily with teams. And he speaks through characters instead of writing them as they have been established.

Bendis can't write Emma for shyt and I remember when he first started writing Cyclops with that Uncanny relaunce..he had him sounding like Exodus and Magneto from 93. LOL.

He's clearly NOT the writer for the X franchise, but he's done well with Ultimate Comics Spider-Man and Daredevil end of days. He's at his worst when he ignores continuity for the fukk of it.
