So now that Trump won the election, what can the Democratic Party do better to have a chance in 2028??

When Diddy gets out get him on the Democratic ticket....

Democrats should realize the door is open for non traditional candidates.

It ain’t over yet…

They need to stop that LGBT shít. It loses them more votes than it gains them.

We know they ain’t gonna do anything for Black Americans, even though so many of us have walked away from them, due to their lack of a Black agenda.

Its the money from the gays they want,so dont count on it.

Also democrats completely whiffed on not seeing the impact that "no taxes on tips and overtime" was going to have. Somebody tried to breakdown to me how in reality tariffs would still cost us more than we would gain in tax breaks. People only care more about seeng more on their paycheck when they get paid:respect:

The Democrats need a radical candidate.

They cannot afford to churn out these 'vanilla' moderates that are only concerned about optics. Trump is striking a chord with middle class and blue collar America.

They haven't really recovered from being viewed as a party that is out of touch with the average American since they forced ultra-capitalist Hillary Clinton into candidacy ahead of Bernie Sanders.

People seem to forget that it was little over a decade ago that Barack won Florida and the rust belt states of PA and Ohio. In the election just prior to that he swept nearly every every Rust Belt state apart from West VA.

So what has changed? America does not see the Democrats as a party that represents the average American anymore. They see them as a party that is too concerned with social optics. A Tik Tok party that is pushing too much flash and less on substance.

Obama was out pushing for those blue collar votes on the ground. The vacuum left by Barack has since been placed by a radicalized white vote engineered by Donald Trump and right wing Republicans.

Dems have to swing the balance back in their favor by getting a candidate that will re-energize the white base with an economic mandate.

Lastly, Democrats have been boxed into big cities. The vastness of America is rural and the Electoral College game is playing against the Dems.

They have to campaign in the suburbs and rural areas heavily moving forward.

Maybe stop blaming political parties and start blaming yourselves for still believing in democracy as it exists at all in 2024. Believing in democracy and defending it is part of the same anti-intellectual tradition that created Trump. If this version of Trump getting elected still doesn't make you question the entire concept of the democratic system as we know it and make you turn to political philosophy and political science to look for better ways, then you deserve Trump and he is your president.

And the sad thing is that the only hope defenders of democracy have of avoiding Trump right now is a woman they didn't even vote for to have as a candidate. If she wins, they'll say democracy won and that it proves the system works because at least Trump was avoided. Sh*t is a religion.:snoop:
