So now that Trump won the election, what can the Democratic Party do better to have a chance in 2028??

Obama was an outlier.

A smooth talking, charismatic, great orator, that was Columbia University and Harvard University educated, united the people, and he was handsome (pause).

He also benefited from George W. Bush’s inept leadership from his handing of 9/11, 2 wars in the Middle East, and mishandling of the Hurricane Katrina catastrophe.

In a lot of ways it was a perfect storm. Moderates were ready for something different.

Racist rural White Americans and Rust Belt cacs responded by creating the Tea Party which was a direct response to Obama which pushed the Republicans further to the radical right.

Insert the White House correspondence dinner where Obama dissed Trump and Trump came running to those same Tea Party voters with a message of dog whistle racism, fascism, and a populist message and the MAGA movement was born and pushed the Republicans even further right.

I think you underestimate what Obama’s two terms in office did to the psyche of racist Whites in America.
If Obama ran in 2024, I believe he would've lost. The Democrats have neglected the Black vote, and that's a big factor in why they've lost the presidency, senate, house, etc.

Dems need make the economy their priority moving forward.

I was picking my Chinese food today, while im waiting for my order another black dude comes in and he and the dude at the counter are celebrating trump winning.

They both talked about how prices were too high and trump is gonna fix it. (I think they're insane but :manny:)

The average american doesn't understand the intricacies of economics. They just see that grocery bill is high as hell and whoever's in office gotta go :camby:

Stop pandering to the T's Chappelle told everyone about the T's that even the rest of the alphabet crew really is :hhh: of them If they want to know how they can get the Hispanic vote understand that most are catholics and don't mess with that they are conservative in that area same with abortion. This just can't be the national level it has to start local in dem cities.

You know how Bill Clinton and Obama got these Midwest cacs to vote for them. They went to them. The went to the farms the suburbs the diners even if people didn't agree with them they still went and stayed for a minute. They just didn't go to the biggest cities in these states give a speech and dip. They out replublicaned Republicans.

Yeah, because he wouldn't have had the Black vote, same way Kamala didn't. I don't know when you guys are going to figure it out. Obama would've gotten washed. Look at how we're treating him now. Like he's garbage, because he is.

all i'll say is this; if the republicans actually do turn the economy around in the next year or 2, tax cuts, border law, gas prices come down, housing comes down a little; democrats are in fukking trouble going forward

they can't even run on saving abortion now, apparently :dead:. so if the economy improves (for everyone, not just rich whites), what the fukk will the country need from the democrats? more illegal immigrants? more tranny laws and free sex change surgeries? :scust:

I agree with that. My family didn't vote for Trump but they were in support of him as well for the same reasons. They don't like the LGBTQ pandering, they are very religious so they don't believe in abortion, and they were scared of all the illegal immigrants crossing the country. Those topics came up more in debates than the actual economy :francis: .

I actually liked Kamala's economic plan. Stop pandering to trannys/Lgbt Run on strengthing the economy, More social programs and border security. :yeshrug:
She ran on all of this. All of the identity stuff took a major backseat. Still, people didn't care, because policy isn't a real concern. It's time people realized this. This country is rotten from the inside out. And nothing short of a large amount of them ceasing to exist - white men especially - will change that.
