These dudes aren't going to slander SOG on my watch
We bringing that Old Testament brand of justice to these demons.
"I know that there’s been a lot of noise of Kovalev but that’s one fight......And then when I get there, beat Kovalev they’re going to say he’s just a puncher, one dimensional, and then where do I go from there? I’m stuck at Light Heavyweight with no options,” declared Ward.
Andre Ward on Facing Kovalev, Golovkin, More
It's so angelic
#SOGGang
nikkas talking bout why doesnt he move up and fight Kovalev
SOG already told us why:
The same way he already ran through every single champion at 168 already and people still say he havent beat nobody is exactly what will happen when he goes and puts the "Hands Of God" on another boxer
They do the same shyt with Floyd if he doesn't fight them he is scared, he fights them and handles it easily and its "boxer x was trash anyway, flat footed blah blah blah cherry pick".
That's how you know we are stanning greatness, only 27 fights in this game and we already getting that Mayweather treatment/hate.
As a member of #TheGGGoodBoys and someone who thinks they stay pretty level headed even when I am busing standing, I will give my take:
GGG-JCC was about money and publicity for those two fighters. It wasnt about GGG moving up and since JCC wanted the fight at 168, he declared himself as a fighter of that division, not 160 anymore. (GGG and JCC are two of the top ratings champs for HBO or SHO regular broadcasts)
Throughout the whole negotiations GGG's camp has said they wanted to pursue and become the lineal 160 lb champ, but they couldn't do it with Martinez-Cotto going down, so they went for the biggest (money, popularity) fight available.
I have a lot of respect for Ward. In fact even though GGG is my fighter, I would favor #SOGGang because Ward is just that talented. He has earned his number 2 P4P spot.
But the ducking conversation is bullshyt IMO right now. GGG is still building his name and wants to reign the 160 lb weight class. Sure he could challenge Ward and move back down to 160...but can't we same for Ward with Kovalev? So is Ward ducking Kovalev? Both need a good fight and it would be easy to make...but Ward is naturally smaller than Kovalev...just like GGG is smaller than Ward.
Maybe this is due to the fickleness of the average boxing fans, losses to them mean a fighter ain't shyt, but to us hardcore fans - losses can elevate a fighter if he is pushing himself and fighting the best.
Basically this all comes down to: I would want Ward-GGG to fight...I also would want Ward-Kovalev to fight...but to expect a fighter to move up a weight class or call him a ducker is something you better have a case that is winnable in court worthy...and I think GGG and Ward hasnt even progressed beyond general conversation.

Yes. He is. And you know he is because you have to remind people he's the P4P #2 in the world every time he's mentioned. What's he done to maintain this P4P status though? You like talking about blown up junior middleweights...Ward's best win is against a weight-drained light-heavyweight he was too scared to go up in weight and fight
Scared....scared is the story of Andre Ward. Was afraid to go to up in weight to make fights, was afraid to go to Montreal to fight Bute, was afraid to go to England to fight Froch, throughout 2012-2013 adamantly refused to fight anyone unless they met the most ridiculous demands in the recent history of overvalued champions.
Now he's everywhere willing to fight anyone, anywhere...but it's too late, no one fukking cares, and his promoter has him handcuffed with all evidence in his favor thanks to how unyielding Ward was after the Super 6.
Meanwhile, every other fighter from 160-175 is spoiled with options, and none of them involve throwing Ward any crumbs

Why would GGG fight Ward for 357 dollars and two free AMC Silver Experience tickets?
LOL @ people thinking GGG plans on moving up to face a Z-list money loser
If GGG ever fights Ward, ratings will even go DOWN compared to GGG's last fight
ward needs to talk more trash when u got talent u gotta have personality with it or u not gon make any money ali, floyd, tyson nikka is talented just needs more exposureYes. He is. it astounds me how people will ignore straight facts just to get their point acrossYeah because GGG is really bringing in money fighting nobodies that HBO won't even show.
His next fight might have to be on univision or some shyt
A Ward fight would be his highest pay to date, you sounding like the typical Ward hater, living in a fantasy world.

HBO wanted to be in control of the venue GGG fought in in Monte Carlo, and they didn't do it because they weren't. GGG some of the highest ratings for HBO when he fights.
