Haha yeah. I've thought about it. Got to find a niche or work for a corporation though. A few friends of mine worked around China, and did well. Also a few went to school in Hong Kong and Shanghai. I've got some connections, time will tell. I should get my Masters but it's not necessary. I'm hoping to be in Asia this Spring if my current work allows it. A friend and I are going to feel things out actually. The potential earnings are good with many expenses covered by employers.

Mos def, a lot of millionaires, and some billionaire coming out of that region, worst come to worst, you grind there and setup shop for a few years 3-10. Then come out a millionaire.

Bro educate yourself to the fullest, that's one thing everyone always tells me. You don't necessarily need it; it's entirely feasible, to still effectively grind without it, but everyone always tells me, how they wish they stayed in school longer(applicable to non-science fields).

i think your bro is exaggerating the cost of gas in l.a. the cheapest i've seen in l.a. is 3.99 and the most expensive is around 4.55- 4.60. the only time i've seen gas hit 5.00 is when i was half way to vegas....
