I was talking to my bro the other day who live is LA and he tells me that gas is now $5/gallon there and going higher every day? Apparently a refinery went down and the remaining refineries cant keep up with demand!

I think this should be a great thing for the liberal movement, as maybe they can finally park their cars and walk or bike to work. After all, "dirty" refineries are damn near illegal to build in California due to the environmentalists blocking energy production at every turn.

Any Southern Californians want to weigh in?

i think this is the chevron refinery in richmond, which is i think the third largest refinery in the US. but yeah, gas shot up pretty dam fast out here. the CA taxes are too dam high

Haha yeah. I've thought about it. Got to find a niche or work for a corporation though. A few friends of mine worked around China, and did well. Also a few went to school in Hong Kong and Shanghai. I've got some connections, time will tell. I should get my Masters but it's not necessary. I'm hoping to be in Asia this Spring if my current work allows it. A friend and I are going to feel things out actually. The potential earnings are good with many expenses covered by employers.
