Narcos is good could be better. The story moves too quick there's no time to see who Carlos Escobar really was or the DEA agent. If there's another trafficker story it needs to be about Carlos Leider did he sell out Noreaga to hide out in the witness protection program.
Its from Netflix, the highest numbered subscription service in the world. And I doubt shooting location in Columbia is that expensive.

House of cards, daredevil, and narcos are all better than oitnb. Show is entertaining but that's it.
Bloodlines good. Worth watching for ben Mendelsohn's performance alone. But its not amazing or anything.Sounds like i need to watch bloodline
Which to me sums up all of netflix original programming so far. Its a lot of middle of the road stuff,some good some bad but no must watch shows.
Its still early obviously,but if netflx is going to continue their change into more original programming they need to step it up. They need an undeniable show.

I get what youre saying but you cant make your point and end with 2 of its lesser shows.(i havent seen sense8 yet but know people in real life that enjoyed it)

It's just that with the binge model its pretty difficult to dominate the pop culture conversation like with the weekly shows that have reviews, recaps, precaps, podcasts etc cuz everyones at different viewing points
Orange is garbage just like weeds was. Its boring and its gotten worse as it goes.
House of cards could have been it but it went full retard and became a parody of itself.
Daredevil was good,not great.
Im just saying theyve been slowly dropping their selections of films/tv series to put more effort into original programming. If you do that they need a show that people are willing to pay the sub just for that show. Nobody is paying money just to watch orange is the new black. But people get hbo just for game of thrones.
In what world is House of Cards and Orange is the New Black NOT hits? These shows have been nominated for Emmy's every year they were eligible. These two shows dominate the pop culture and news media each season.
Daredevil was a HUGE HIT for Netflix. Narcos is getting rave reviews. How is Netflix failing? Yes, not all their shows are hits. And a few are really bad. But, HBO, SHOWTIME, AND FX would kill for the hits that Netflix has. HBO is still pissed they missed out on House of Cards and got outbid.
Every network would kill to have Daredevil. Bloodline is a real good series. Multiple Networks bid on Bloodline, but the creators went with Netflix cause they knew their series was perfect for the binge model. I'm not a big fan of Marco Polo, but I bet it does decent globally for them.
Netflix is killing it. They have HBO sweating, and have passed FX & Showtime when it comes to quality series. FX is in real bad shape, btw. They need a hit in the worst way. And I'm a fan of The Americans, but it doesn't generate the heat FX wants. Sons of Anarchy was their last big series. They better hope Sutter's new show is a hit.
Back to Narcos -- the series is top notch. I expect Emmy noms for Escobar and Pedro Pascal.
