Listen you moron. Apps are actually NOT that serious
If apps aren't that serious why do you have an appstore?

Ah yes.

Listen you moron. Apps are actually NOT that serious
If apps aren't that serious why do you have an appstore? Why is Microsoft working to improve dev support for apps?
Why is Microsoft making it easier for apps to get ported?
Ah yes.The apps shyt is that serious.
Here is a few other key experiences to Windows Phone 8
Maps
- Yeah iOS finally gets turn-by-turn with Siri support that's impressive I must say but right now all Nokia WP gets turn-by-turn regardless you don't need a specific model.
- Nokia has 140 maps world wide which you can download and use turn-by-turn GPS without a connection
- Nokia will have TellME built in which is similar to Siri but not as good
Enterprise
- Supports Group Policy and Active Directory easy to manage and deploy apps and settings
- Corporations can have their own Marketplace
Gaming
- Direct X support which is huge port DX games like Batman AA to WP with a few lines of code
VOIP
- Whatever VOIP chat client you like Skype, Tango, ooVoo whatever features can be implemented directly to the OS no APP's needed its like making a phone call the experience is seamless
MS only announced 8 features but those are the features I like the most they will be debuting ALOT more when the officially debut Windows 8 & Phone 8
Its literally for people who need to download and a bunch of app to play with
A lot of people out there don't even need apps just the minimal
So Microsoft is allocating all those resources to please the few?You guys are too much sometimes ...
Listen you moron. Apps are actually NOT that serious, as the OS in windows phone can literally do the work of hundreds of iOS apps. Trust me I own a 64 gig 3rd Gen Ipad. I literally have 100's of apps on the thing. Its a beast no doubt, but the OS is seriously showing its age when held side by side with Windows Phone 7.5
Change the keyboard, I use SwypeI own a focus and an HTC Titan along w my GS2 and 4S.
Windows phone 7.5 is my second favorite mobile platform behind IOS as far as ease of use, but the lack of apps makes it my least used because I'm missing the ability/access to half the the programs I'm used to. No tumblr, no instagram, no good games, the ones they have cost way more. Plus if you shyt on how locked down IOS Is you def would hate how inflexible win mobile is at the moment.
But I love how stable it is, and how useful the tiles are, and its social integration. Which is why I bothered to cop an LTE one after the focus. But they've got pretty far,to go to catch up.
Sidenote: is texting As horrible on all android phones as bad as it is on this Galaxy joint. shyt is just badly implemented. I'm willing to blame it on touch wiz if that's what y'all say it is.
App catalogue.. Come on now catch up no problem..
Developers are not going to pass up on the worlds most popular operating systems 1.4 billion Windows PC's in the wild that is more than Android and Apple's marketshare put together.
People will make apps on Windows and port it to Windows Phone with 2 lines of code. Apps have the potential to surpass the app store.
Now lets talk about games have you ever heard of Direct X this is what most Xbox and PC games are built on and its going to be ported to Windows Phone.
So you can expect PC/Xbox type games on Windows Phone with cross sync play.
Windows 8 is when shyt gets real.
Oh yeah don't forget about Skype the worlds #1 VOIP communication software and that's baked right into the phone a Skype call is like a phone call.
Have you ever had to try to call someone long distance but you don't want to waste your minutes now you can call using Skype using your Skype credit via WiFi directly on your phone no APP.
MS is putting their entire ecosystem together Windows, Skype, Xbox Live, Bing, Office into their Operating Systems your getting a lot right out of the box its pretty scary.
That DX feature sounds like a game changer ... was also jealous when I read that you can download full country maps on Nokia phones (not sure if it was WP8 or Symbian) ....Google needs to hurry up and do that..
nah dawg just saying u don't need 500 000 apps. WP has over 100 000 apps and it will skyrocket when Windows8 comes out.
That DX feature sounds like a game changer ... was also jealous when I read that you can download full country maps on Nokia phones (not sure if it was WP8 or Symbian) ....Google needs to hurry up and do that..
And that Nokia Drive app is
Yup. I simply downloaded all the maps for my local area on nokia drive! Now GPS mode lasts MUCH longer than it did on my Galaxy Nexus. No more using the phone's gps and data streaming to get to a destination, only to have a dead phone when i get there.![]()
Was reading on the Verge that Google lets you download maps for offline use, but you have to zoom in a section and download it and you can't download over 'x' mb of map data at a time. Basically you have to know where you're going (road wise) before you go if you wanna go offline....
I've been in many travel situations where I'm in a totally new state and don't know where the fukk I'm going. I hate depending on a data connection so much. Would be great to be able to download whole states for when I'm on the go...
