Individualism, materialism and consumerism already destroyed the conditions of a black uprising.
did yall really think a bunch of internet posts were gonna do it? Let's be real, these boycotts aren't nearly as organized and pushed as they were in the 60s. We need urgency. Not just "if you participate in this, you're a c00n." I know several black leaders have talked to it but next year we should work on stressin our point and really building a machine behind the cause.
Black people cant even do something simple as sitting at home and enjoying their family...what else should we come up with
I've got Sims 4 but it's trash : (Y'all don't know Sims 4 is out
I just wanted to see the fukkery in person.
Millions of black folks were supposed to
There was a million man march about it
As much as I love my people; we've got to come up with something better than, "don't spend on holidays."
Even during the period of the bus boycott, wasn't like it still wasn't a bunch of nikkas still getting on the white bus saying "look I got to go to work" and being pessimistic to the efforts of the movement. That is just how enslaved impoverished defeated people are going to be. In slavery it was blacks still staying at the plantations even after they declared it was over, and while it was ambitious blacks opening banks and stores, it was still blacks working as maids and cooks for white folks. The Montgomery bus boycott has always been fascinating to me for the simply fact how they were able to get all those African Americans on the same page to support a common goal
Idk know if ya'll keep up with the Zo What Morning Show. But 1 day they were talking about Blacks getting together and shorting the stock market. In theory that shyt would make noise. I don't think nikkas that aggregated enough yet for something like that though. Plus alot of ppl arent up on finance, but thats one of the best ideas i think i ever heard about really making real noise.
Haven't left the house since 3PM yesterday. Still in bed as I type thisI went to Walmart and it was jam packed with negroes. Two black women got to fighting over a 40-inch TV. People were pushing and shoving. That shyt was crazy. I just wanted to see the fukkery in person. Did anyone else go out?
All we can do is our part, my fam is boycotting to show solidarity and unity with our people and I'm teaching my children to be active when these issues arise. You don't just sit back act numb to the problems and then be pessimistic to those who do have the heart to take a stand. If black people aren't disciplined enough to do. Something as simple as NOT spend money then we're fukked.
This year I got my girlfriend and her parents to commit to only buy from black owned businesses this Christmas.
