Because sometimes its not about putting an act over, but taking an act from another company to keep them from making more money. WWE has been known to sign suspected up and coming talent even, just to keep them off screen and under contract.

Even if this is successfully returned in ownership to him, I'm skeptical that WWE would let it on screen without significant input or control. This is not a small, rinky dink organization. He does not have the same political pull as he would have otherwise.

I doubt for example, that they would want his wife or children involved on television because of the possible bad look on social media.
