I just want good content......why would I care about financial risk of a billion dollar company.
I feel like my brain shrinks with every post we engage in. These big wigs are in the money making business if a film bombs there is no guarantee we see such a movie again. A show on Netflix has a more palatable metric on what is deemed success and what isnt

I don't care about the studio or its profit......thats all I'm saying......I'm going to see a Black Panther, Luke Cage, etc movie/Netflix show because I like the character......if it bombs even though it's a great product, thats not my problem.

So why even discuss it....................I don't even know what we are debating anymore

you mean like the call to boycott the Oscars over Selma, like what 3 months ago?
So cancelling BP would not be undermining Black content?
Did the boycott at the Oscars occur? Lol

BP is a fictional character so Marvel can get away to an extent with undermining us. Look how long we've gone without a prominent black superhero movie. We've been underminded in regards to this and we still are because they are pushing it back!

you are the one that started cluttering the convo by mentioning Luke cage and Netflix when we both know that is small ball. If there is a high demand for a marvel character they are going to put it on the best stage to make them the most money and that is a movie. You being down to watch good content on whatever is irrelevant

yeah cuz we all know Thor hasn't had 2 movies (+avengers) and there is as much demand for captain marvel/inhumans as there is for black panther, right? Moron :aicmon:

You the moron for thinking Marvel wont give the most iconic character they have priority over some 3rd rate hero. Moron :birdman:

was that dude your hubby or something? I don't remember seeing your name in the post I replied with that :scust: Nice try in asking a question to answers I never gave though :mjpls: I think there is a greater demand for panther than strange so the fact the latter is still going full speed ahead is fishy as

Keeping Black Panther in his original premiere slot would have him go up against the Justice League. How on earth is that a good thing?

How does someone care about Black Panther but hate the fact his movie got pushed into the summer movie season? Wouldn't that benefit him more? I'm confused :mindblown:

Actually Netflix doesn't. They don't report viewership of individual shows just subscriptions to the overall service. No one knows how many people are watching any 1 Netflix show besides Netflix.

Yeah it did. Some people boycotted it. Do Black people ever universally boycott anything?

I've already explained my issue with it in my earlier posts in this thread. His movie should have already been released years ago but now they are pushing it back. I guess people don't understand the frustration in this. He should already be in the Avengers movies and anyone who is a true Marvel fan would know this. You're saying it's going to be released during a summer season which is great but who knows if they will continue pushing it back or eventually cancelling it.

The boycott did not occur because the director stopped it from happening. You're trying to get off topic here.

What movie have they announced for production that ended up being cancelled:mjlol: Kevin Feige said this week that he'll be talking to possible directors over it this or next week:russ:. About 5 other movies/characters got pushed back too. They only want to have three movies out a year from 2017, the Black Panther movie was unfortunately on the tail-end of 2017 when Marvel added Sony's original date to their slate :yeshrug:.

Marvel is on fire right now with no chance of letting up any time soon...even if the movie sucks, they are not about to pass up the profit to be made from this.
