Im getting an ipad at my new job too and I dont really want it tbh...shyt is useless to me. if I want a computer on the go Ill take my laptop that has all the functionality I need and best setup, not some abridged circumcised shyt

He's right here. A lot of people use the iPhone as a status symbol. Just like Macs. I mean with Macs at least if you work in audio/video you have a tiny excuse. With the iPhone there are at least 10 phones better than it on the market at any given time.

Even when the new one drops in the Fall the SG3 will probably still be better and then the new Razrs will drop and be even better than that.

anything thats bought for the sole reason to have what is hyped the "best new thing" without any real need for upgrade- status symbol

you basically want to show everyone else that you have the new phone even if you dont really need the new 3.5 features that are introduced.

its not as much as a status symbol as a car or anything, but its still used in that sense.
