I honestly don't think the show we've seen is the show she envisioned. Which may give a clue as to why it took so long to get made.
But now that he show is a success, Issa is gonna flex a lil bit. This is her first flex.
How many times have we seen women let success go to their heads and wreck their shows?

It's wild because I saw Black folk of all kinds unite and debate productively in watch parties, I personally attended parties thrown at Black businesses with a great turnout here in Brooklyn. It was a great thing, whole groups of women were open to discussion when the Lawrence vs Issa topic came up. It was a tool to use in dating that was successful enough. Of course it was great for couples...think they may have messed up with this decision. They would make up by casting Lawrence in 4 episodes of non-speaking roles just going out and about or sitting with Aparna somewhere, lol. This is a case of the writers doing too great of a job developing a supporting role, they entrenched him in the universe and he caught on and added to the show, don't leave his base hanging.

Yea she was. In a Facebook interview post episode she was throwing heavy at team Lawrence. She never expected ppl to cape for him.

The 2nd season was even written to make him and Issa comparable as they tried to move into their hoeish ways. But ppl still caped for Lawrence while calling Issa and Molly thots. Men and women.

The show is called Insecure, of course this nikka would be dropped. I expect a her next boo to be a white man while that DJ nikka is kept on the bench like a good boy
